Cleveland has Yanks and Royals this week.
Royals have Angels and Guardos. They may have the central lead by this time next week. Crazy but the Royals have the most experienced SP right now. Twins and Guardos are banged up.

If only time was a thing that could be adequately measured and those measurements notated in a way that was commonly accepted worldwide.

Oh wait, there is.  It was 4 minutes 32 seconds from Alcalas first pitch to a tie game.  Jax was up at about the 2 minute mark.  Gleeman and Geek broke it down on their podcast today.

To put that on Rocco is pretty nuts, to be honest. Had he had another guy ready folks would be mad about dry humping 99% of the time.

Almost as if facts don't matter to preset opinions.

Bad, Rocco, Bad!

Keep selling this bull****.

I'll keep calling out the manager for watching a reliever blow a 4 run lead.

He had Jax up. Slow the GD game down. Have Maki take 3 minutes to amble out, wait for the ump, amble back. Step off and toss it to 2nd base. Have the catcher call time and five signals. Amble out to remove Alcala. And on and on. Any manager who wanted to could have had Jax ready, at LEAST by Garcia's AB. He CHOSE not to.

I really don’t care about this topic but how much time elapsed from the time Jax started throwing until alacala faced his second to last batter? Or last batter? Don’t forget to add the two minutes he’d have been given to warm up on the field as well

Can't tell you, don't care enough to look.  It doesn't matter unless you know how long it takes Jax to be ready from a dead sleep.

I think the hair looks gray.

On closer inspection, it does appear to be gray. And natural. Silver fox!

"Not sure i agree with your police work, there." 2.5 back and wrong side of tie breaker is effectively 3 back, not 2.

I'd say it's 3.5 back.

There won't be a half game at the end of the season, and we need to finish a full game ahead.

We lived through Les Straker starting TWO World Series games.

And if memory serves, he was pinch hit for in the first game with a lead. Maybe he holds the lead if left in?

He had time to get Richards ready. Richards started warming after Jax.

After the, ah, blown lead.

I'm glad he missed it, now he is no longer a Twin, but otherwise, good for him!

Well I was rooting for it to stay fair, since solo shots “don’t really hurt ya” (to paraphrase Bert Blyleven) 🙂

Uh, 2 back without the tiebreaker is 3 back as well

Padres bullpen is lights out, this game is done. If Martin Perez beats the Twins tomorrow I'm placing a large bet against this team making the postseason.
