Cobb has a decent track record. Odds of him being healthy in 2024 aren't great but not a bad guy to take a flier on.

MacArthur and Erceg are both pretty effective. Not Mason Miller effective but Jax-Duran effective.

At this point, I'd be surprised if this group makes the post-season.

Relying on two rookies in the rotation. A bullpen that has been dreadfully inconsistent. Those two things aren't conducive to winning when it matters.

I wouldn't give up Marco Raya, Connor Priellip and another player for Erceg.  That's basically what the Royals did.
