Hardest hit ball you've seen live? I was about 12 when Gary Sheffield hit a liner at me...450 ft away. You?

I could pick any of the foul balls that have rattled my cage behind the plate while umpiring HS ball over the years.  At the MLB level, the ball Oneil Cruz hit about 8 rows over my head in Pittsburgh last month against the Twins was mashed.  Also had a Mo Vaughn foul ball come rocketing into the press box at Oriole Park and had us scattering.  It put a nice dent in one of the console walls.

#1: Miguel Sano's 495 footer in Fenway a couple years ago.

#2: Morneau walkoff against the white Sox in the Metrodome. Sitting above the baggy, bounced off my friends hands, felt like it was still rising when it got to us.

I'll never forget those two

Haw haw haw...

Just got back from class in time to catch the 7th!  How about Carlos doing the storybook thing and hitting that dinger after getting brushed back TWICE?  Really makes me miss the Hawkster-  <Wallner's rocket:  "Welp.  Tie ball game.">   <Correa's moon shot:  *silence*>

Gotta love it.  Looking forward to seeing those same Sox on my Mpls visit!

I timed Hawk at 52 seconds of silence after Thome’s homer led to a pitching change.

Well that de-escalated quickly.

Been happening a lot lately. I guess you’ll have that when you’ve been getting a bunch on base

Chicago just might challenge the modern day record of 119 losses by the 2003 Tigers. The 1899 Cleveland Spiders 20-134 record will never be touched.

Goodness, Jax...you and this leadoff walk sillyness...

And now another duck snort ties the game.

I was a full participant in the 2003 Twins, and thus enjoying the 2003 Tigers.  I remember when they finally won their first game (13?) and they popped champagne on ESPN like they won the series, and I thought, good on them.

Jeffers's defense has been very questionable the last week or so.

You can't really blame him on a 58 ft breaking ball.

Throw ;(:&; strikes

Yeah, I'm so sick of the nibbling when you're overpowering batters with the hard stuff.

See?  Was that so difficult?
