Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2024 Posted May 23, 2024 The 20-26 Cardinals just swept the 29-15 Orioles. The 10-31 Marlins have won 7 of their last 10. The 8-28 Rockies won 7 games in a row last week. This is how baseball seasons work. Bad Teams are not that bad and good teams are not that good. Anybody can beat anybody. I've long been in agreement with a quote I can't place: "Baseball is the sport least likely to go according to plan in the short term, but most likely in the long term" It takes a long season for the difference between a team giving up 4.2 runs per game and a team giving up 4.7 to inevitably show up. But show up it will. wabene and ashbury 2

Over a two month period the Twins went from mediocre to sealing up the division. He was clutch, hitting five grand slams, and it somehow rubbed off on everyone else. Well Lewis has been in the dugout for the most part. Can't his presence rub off. Maybe he can replace the sausage. It's soon to become a bio-hazard. RpR 1

I use a browser without cookies so TD logs me out and I lose posts from time to time so I sometimes forget to requote. :)
