He's the prized acquisition of the off-season so he'll stick around for that reason only.

Sad but yes its true

One of those deals where its pick your poison for the FO. What looks worse - dumping Santana in April or May, or keeping him on as dead weight for the entire season...

Must be quite a luxury for other teams to dip to the bottom of your pitching depth and throw them against the Twins and still have a better than 50% chance of winning.

If they are making decisions based on what looks worse instead of what's best for the team then they need to be fired, but they've been doing that for awhile now so

Maybe if Rocco refuses to start him it will force their hand, but that would be a ballsy move

They've been masters of saying a ton of stuff without saying anything at all. Optics have long been a priority for the front office.

Worrying about what looks worse as opposed to what wins more games should be a fireable offense.

Not saying they're doing that nor am I calling for anyone to be fired at this time.

I'm not as down on the FO as some other fans are. The reality is, they had nothing to work with in terms of a budget. Not sure what people were expecting the roster to look like after Joe P.'s comments. With that said, I do think both Falvey and Levine are the masters of spin and fluff.

Funny how Miranda comes up after spending an entire year in the minors and immediately becomes the twins best hitter.

almost like the twins hitting coaches and entire hitting plan is the problem.
Oh well, at least demoting Wallner fixed the offense

I don't know, we don't hear from them a ton, which is fine by me. They don't need to spill the beans on internal strategies.

I think Falvey is probably doing fine as he's remodeled the organization from the caveman days of Terry Ryan. Levine as the GM and presumably in charge of player acquisitions, I'm less confident in. I really, really dislike the choice to continue to bring in these no-ceiling vets instead of adding one good player and using the internal options. I don't like the types of players he seems to like.

I think Buxton is toast, btw. I am not SURE of it, but I think it.

His bat speed, swing decisions, and contact are all horrendous this year. I tend to agree with you.

This 34 year old journeyman that was just called up from the minors by the Orioles is just blowing the fastball past the Twins hitters. They all look overmatched.

They are and have been pretty much all year
