Shaitan Verified Member Posted April 9, 2024 Posted April 9, 2024 I get the frustration, but I'm not at all surprised they pulled Ober given his inning situation (and second half performance) last year. It's essentially his first start of the year. Nice job by Okert getting out of the jam eventually. Jocko87 and USAFChief 1 1
HarmonK03 Verified Member Posted April 9, 2024 Posted April 9, 2024 And the bullpen is down one pitcher, so yeah it makes sense to go to it before you need to. Rocco's post game conference on Wednesday, he will be saying his bullpen needs a break because they will be overused again. Mike Sixel 1
Shaitan Verified Member Posted April 9, 2024 Posted April 9, 2024 I'll rephrase it. I expect Ober eat innings as much as I expect Alcala to go a month without hitting the IL. Danchat and Jocko87 2
MMMordabito Verified Member Posted April 9, 2024 Posted April 9, 2024 Classic Rocco followed by Classic Buck. Just need Buck to homer now, so he can beat his own manager. Mike Sixel 1

nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted April 9, 2024 Posted April 9, 2024 I was promised more runs with fewer strikeouts. The Twins might need to do something radical and try for more hits. wsnydes 1

nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted April 9, 2024 Posted April 9, 2024 I guess that lefty/righty matchup thing is only considered for the Twins bats? Seems like Okert should have been left to face the lefty? UpstateNewYorker and jkcarew 2

I would have bet money before the game started that Okert or Funderburk was coming in to face Ohtani and Freeman in that exact spot. I'll also bet that our left handed hitters will start entering the game when Paxton exits. I'll also bet that when I drop my toast tomorrow. The peanut butter and jelly side will hit the floor. jkcarew, nicksaviking, Jocko87 and 1 other 3 1

FilthyMogwai Verified Member Posted April 9, 2024 Posted April 9, 2024 Baldelli with another dumb move, yet people on here will defend him tooth and nail. Also. This Dodgers team is gross. I don't like teams that try to purchase championships. They represent the biggest problem with the game today. It's gross watching teams with a clear advantage and their fans celebrate like it's actually a fair fight. They're the Yankees of the west.
