Depending on how that meeting goes, I wonder if they'll be taking measurements to see if he'll fit in the TC Bear suit.

Patella tendinitis is the diagnosis and looking at the Mayo Clinic site, it doesn't sound promising.

yeah there is little you can do to treat patella tendinitis other than rest, and build up leg strength.

Sounds bad for this year, but nothing (on this Mayo Clinic page) makes it sound like it's a chronic, career-ending condition. If this diagnosis is correct, I'd say that's very positive.

Maybe this injury won't be career ending but the word "chronic" still applies. Buxton is chronically injured and his career has been shortened if not ended.

Where are you getting this? I'm just going off what the Mayo Clinic says about patellar tendinitis, and it looks like it's just a matter of rest. I'm happy to defer to you if you have other, better information about patellar tendinitis.

Unless this was discussed somewhere else on this forum, I am surprised this was meeting wasn't talked about more as it seems like a pretty big deal.
