Original_JB Verified Member Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 Byron meeting with Twins brass today to discuss his injury(s)/plan of attack going forward. https://www.startribune.com/byron-buxton-minnesota-twins-leaders-meeting-injuries/600303088/ Depending on how that meeting goes, I wonder if they'll be taking measurements to see if he'll fit in the TC Bear suit. Unwinder Verified Member Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 TC Bear is a very athletic position requiring peak health and conditioning. GCTF, glunn, Hosken Bombo Disco and 6 others 6 3
CRF Verified Member Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 TC Bear's never been on the IL, so Buck wouldn't be a good fit for that job. He'd miss too much time. Hosken Bombo Disco, Jerr and Linus 2 1

Sounds bad for this year, but nothing (on this Mayo Clinic page) makes it sound like it's a chronic, career-ending condition. If this diagnosis is correct, I'd say that's very positive. Buxton is chronically injured and his career has been shortened if not ended.

I'm just going off what the Mayo Clinic says about patellar tendinitis, and it looks like it's just a matter of rest. I'm happy to defer to you if you have other, better information about patellar tendinitis.
