Stunned that Jeffers is catching again but I love it. Twins realize that winning this series is basically the nail in the coffin and we need Jeffers to catch 2 of the 3.

I like Royce being moved up but I actually kinda like Polanco in the 2 hole. Draws a lot of walks. But considering we absolutely refuse to drop Correa in the order for no reason at all, Swapping Royce and Polanco was like the only real option.

Personally Id go Julien, Polanco, Royce, Kep, Correa

But apparently we are worried about Carlos ego or something.

$33M and the 4-hole power of a double play batted ball.  What is wrong with this picture.  Has to be a clause in his contract or he has pictures on someone ... I would move Polanco to 5th and have Correa 2nd if we had to keep him in top 3 of lineup.  Lewis 3 hole and low and behold thought I would never say it but Kepler at cleanup

TBH, while I get your line of thinking having Correa 2nd is alsot not  ideal because when Julien draws the ineveitable lead off walk. We are staring down 2 outs and no one on for Royce

Truthfully I would drop Correa even lower than 5. More like 6 or 7th. Heck he hit there for the Astros during some of their good seasons.

But 5th is at least better than 3rd or 4th. Because while he can still hit into a DP from there. At least it allows Royce and Kepler to drive in some runs before he does and take advantage of the Julien/Polanco walks. Also, Royce and Kepler have some of the best homer pop on the team. So batting Correa after them adds to the chance they smoke a homer or double and leave the DP off the table.

Well well well!  I wonder what the move could be.

Cutting ties with Floro? There’s no one else they can move to the 60-day, and that poses a different set of problems anyway. Someone getting DFAd is my guess to make room, but who?

Doubtful that.

Not really.   Time for him to show he can manage an MLB team hoping for the playoffs

You do realize that there's still a month of the season left for him to do that whether they sweep, get swept or something in between, right?

They could move Miranda to the 60-day for now.  But, eventually there have to be a few DFAs coming.

Correa has reached base in 18 straight games. He has a slash line of .258/.382/.500 with 4 HR and 12 RBI during this streak. Yes he hits into a lot of DP's, but so did Killebrew, Puckett & Hrbek, amongst others.

Average exit velo on the double plays for Correa is 95.0 mph. The mean is calling.

The problem with putting yet another on the 60-day, they have to make sure there is room on the 40-man for all of them at the end of the season. I’m sure they know that and have a plan, but I’m thinking there may be others who they will cut ties with first

Wow.  And it's Ober.

What's with all this 6-man rotation talk?

(channeling my inner Lloyd Christmas)

Does the normal rule about needing to be down 10 days still apply when it comes to the Sept 1 roster expansion? If not, it’s an easy thing to send him down and call him back up later this week. That also allows them to bring him up in less than the normal 15 days of an IL stint.

Ortega moved to the 60 day.

Mind blowing that this wasnt done right away when he was hurt. Could have had Funderburk up here a week ago.

But whatever, glad to have him now.

I do believe the Twins record is nearly identical to where it was last year at this time. If Rocco can't steer this bus across the finish line in 1st place then he might be treading water

The point is still the same though.  There's a month left to the season to determine whether they make the playoffs or not.
