Out for one game?  No.  For all we know he has the flu.

I'd obviously rather he be in there, but I'm not going to get too worked up about one game.

I'm hoping AK's wrist wasn't injured on the play where the ball hit the runner in the back yesterday. The runner ran right through AK's glove-hand, which I'm pretty sure is his bad wrist.

Seeing Farmer at 3rd today, it makes me wonder if there will be some roster moves coming during the break.  Miranda comes clearly to mind, even with Royce being out another month or so, and one or two others are a definite possibility.  Plus the return of some now on the IL to boot.

Maybe tweak some things before the trade deadline to see how it all plays out before any trade/non-trade decisions are made??

A part of my concern is that he hasn't shown any power recently, which has been indicative of his wrist injury flaring up in the past. 

He's basically been a less prolific Luis Arraez lately.

I could definitely see a Wallner for Miranda move coming soon. Farmer/Castro/Solano can cover 3rd until Lewis is back, and Wallner can take over Castro's OF playing time.

Yeah, I get that.  And I don't disagree with that logic.  There could be other reasons for that as well though.  He could even just be slumping.

What does Wallner do in this scenario? Play once a week? Castro plays OF vs lefties.....

With how aggressive we've been using pinch hitters mid-game, Wallner, Kepler, and Gallo could rotate through the corners. Wallner could pinch hit for MAT/Farmer/Solano when the lefty comes out of the game, with Castro moving to the infield for Farmer or Solano or CF for MAT.

There is no evidence they want to rotate those guys at all. 

If Miranda goes down, I think, well, I have no idea who comes up. I don't think they want Wallner sitting around not playing every day. Same with Larnach. For INF? Severino from AA? For some reason he's in AA, while 3B in AAA is being played by guys that won't be in the majors ever most likely. Just jump him up?

I can, too.  Miranda clearly still needs some work at the plate and Wallner clearly deserves an extended opportunity.

If Gallo is gone, maybe that would help answer the question.  However, I'm not convinced the front office is too keen on doing that quite yet.

Sure, if they EVER decide to do something about this awful offense, but we are more than half way thru the year, and they've tried nothing at all. The only changes are a healthy AK and a BRIEFLY healthy Lewis. That's it.
