There have been some great Yankee center fielders—DiMaggio, Mantle, Bernie Williams—and maybe the fans thought that Hicks would be another great player in that succession. Yes, the Twins gave him away for what turned out to be next to nothing, but Hicks signed a long-term contract and the has not produced.

Coretes now @ 60 pitches thru 3 IP, keep making him throw.

I don't know if Polanco can hit like this all year, hopefully long enough until the next guy can.
