Have to say, I was hooked on the Frosty Malts first, then the Twins.

We're all masochists. Nothing like a little anguish and a lot of carryover disappointment to heat up cold winters. It's like burning tongue and mouth with peppers so hot you could brand a cow with 'em. You just bend over, pucker up and take it in the..., uh, hip.

Anybody seen my Twins cap?

Wanna borrow my North Stars cap?

The most frustrating thing for me isn't that the Twins are usually mediocre, it's that there are so many injuries.  From Buxton to Kiriloff to Lewis to Larnach to Mahle, etc., it seems like we're always waiting for the team to get healthy.

We hear for years about the prospects in the minors and how great they may become, only to have most of them wreck their knees, wrists, require Tommy John and on and on.  We almost never get to enjoy the individual achievements of the players because they're having surgery on this or rehabbing that.  Always waiting...

I'm just carrying on the family legacy of cheering for the Twins. I got a Twins cap from my great grandfather in 1971. I used to listen to the Twins in the 1970's on a crappy transistor radio tuned to 570 AM WNAX out of Yankton SD. I remember at night the signal would fade in and out, sometimes for several minutes and I would have to try to catch up on what had transpired during that time. I Played for the Twins in our Little league. I'm too invested to change to another team now, but they sure make it hard to keep going at times.

"Hi, everybody!"

There is nothing like a ball game on the radio.

Years ago, when I was stationed overseas and there wasn't a thing called the internet,  and AFRTS was quite different, my mother-in-law--bless her heart-- used to record a couple three radio Twins games on cassettes and mail them to me. That was the only option. I'd listen to that game 2 or 3 times a week until the next one came, then save the old one with the others, to be pulled from hibernation and put back in the rotation when I needed a change. The voice of Herb put me back somewhere in Minnesota every time.

Herb Carneal.

The best

This times 100. I am glad we have Cory Provus. He is very good and a modern day version of Herb.

I like Provus too. A lot.

I'll never quit the team because a bad day at the ballpark is better than a good day most anyplace else.

The sounds, the smells, the atmosphere all is something I look forward to even as a 50 year old regardless of if we are in first, or last place.

This! I love baseball

Can’t wait for twins season to start! Provus and gladden are awesome to listen on radio!!! As with all Minnesota sports I’m huge diehard fan-Just win!!  Most my friends/family aren’t into baseball/sports-whatever!!  I’d rather watch/listen to twins then go out with friends any day of the week.  Summer is MNUFC/twins baseball and going to lake/beach!!!

My grandmother loved Twins baseball, and always had games playing on the radio whenever we came over for a visit as kids, which is how i got started as a fan.  And she was a fan going back to the 60's too.  I still remember how my grandparents went bonkers when they won in 87 and again in 91, great memories.  She's been gone for over 20 years now, but I still have to thank her.  Miss ya Melva.

Said this before, saying it again. There are two seasons in each year: baseball season, and waiting for baseball season.
