Ohtani is being his usual dominant self on the mound tonight, and unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your POV) the Twins are going to miss his turn this weekend.

I'm OK with it.

I feel like we’ve always missed him and usually miss trout (although lots of teams have in recent years)

At least we’re not the Pirates…they just had a guy lose his cell phone on a slide into 3rd.

Was it a BlackbeRRRRrrry? Get it?

I’ll show myself out

Urias has thrown 90 pitches and 72 have been for strikes.  He threw 6 balls in the 1st inning.  He has thrown 12 balls in the last 6 innings.  That accuracy is off the charts.

Seems like it shouldn't be that hard to find. Your average MLB infield is pretty bare around 3rd base.

Meh…try throwing it in the exact middle of the barrel, and 5.5 inches from the end for three straight innings like Joe was.

I don’t know I’ve played on some unkempt fields in my day

I didn’t realize how that sounded until your post. And there’s no delete button here so I guess it will just have to live in infamy forever

I won't have it on much longer.  The clock on the wall here in the eastern time zone tells me that.

If you’d told me before the season that we’d be in a flat-footed tie with the Spiders after 109 games…I’d have said we’re about 5 games over 500…6 or so games behind the White Sox.

Thank you, Tony LaRussa.

How long have you been hearing these voices?

You’ve always been a judicious man

Cory Provus is awesome, case in point from this weekend (paraphrasing here):

  • Alex Kirilloff is hurt, which is bad news for the Twins;
  • Emilio Pagan is also hurt, which is bad news for Pagan

(He wasn’t making light of Kirilloff’s injury by any stretch of the imagination. just interesting phrasing comparing Kirilloff and Pagan)

Seattle-NYY scoreless in the 9th on the MLB network.  This Seattle team is no joke.

It’s no laughing matter especially when you realize that if the twins manage to back their win into the playoffs, as of now they would be the first round opponent

I told my wife the truth. I told her I was seeing a psychiatrist. Then she told me the truth: that she was seeing a psychiatrist, two plumbers, and a bartender.

The yaknees have been playing some bad baseball, and even worse for them, they don’t see the twins until Labor Day
