ashbury Verified Member Posted July 16, 2022 Posted July 16, 2022 We got all out of Bundy that we could, apparently. The "third time through the batting order" guideline applies more to some pitchers than to others, maybe. In my book he muffed another chance to earn $11M next year from us. Someone will pay $4M again, probably.

Honestly though, he’s not been as horrible as he was early on. Gone at least 5 innings in 6 straight starts. Which is admittedly a very low bar but not bad in modern baseball and certainly not on this team. He struggled early when everyone else was doing well and now everyone else is struggling and he’s at least keeping us in games (again, a low bar)

He's not been an ace or a stopper, but few expected that he would be. We're better off with him than without him,
MMMordabito Verified Member Posted July 16, 2022 Posted July 16, 2022 LaRussa was pretty upset that a ball was called a ball.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 16, 2022 Posted July 16, 2022 Buxton beats that out... (well maybe not, as it wasn't that slow a dribbler to short, and they could always get the runner at 2nd, but please, lemme have my illusion)
Montdak Verified Member Posted July 16, 2022 Posted July 16, 2022 Louie obviously decided he was taking the first pitch. Too bad it was the best one he got..
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2022 Posted July 16, 2022 Not Criticizing , wishing for more out of Luis on that a.b.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 16, 2022 Posted July 16, 2022 When a number is retired, does that mean only a retired player can now wear it?

I know a maskarade is still a ball, but i would still want people to think of it as the former. Likewise sousaphones are tubas, but i would mildly prefer folk know what sousaphones are.
Montdak Verified Member Posted July 16, 2022 Posted July 16, 2022 Now we need some pitching. Too bad on the unlucky bloop off Urshela’s glove that led to two cheap runs.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 16, 2022 Posted July 16, 2022 Jax time going smoothly so far.
Montdak Verified Member Posted July 16, 2022 Posted July 16, 2022 I’m sick of them not getting the #9 batter out game after game.
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted July 16, 2022 Posted July 16, 2022 He's missed easier catches than that. That was a catch he should make, but it wasn't easy.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2022 Posted July 16, 2022 Adventurous day for Max today, Nice job Kep

You can't expect a .000 BA, but yes the Twins' performance against #9 hitters is not as good as against #7 or #8 (where we're especially strong) for some reason.
Montdak Verified Member Posted July 16, 2022 Posted July 16, 2022 Bremer I luv ya but. at a key AB during a big pitch to Polo call the dang play by play instead of talking about how animated Joe and Justin were not compared to A.J. Prrezinski years ago.
Montdak Verified Member Posted July 16, 2022 Posted July 16, 2022 There’s the start. Now this guy who Bundy threw curve to after he looked bad on the fastball and cost two runs. Uff got him on the FB.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 16, 2022 Posted July 16, 2022 We do know how to keep things interesting... Tying run at the plate with 1 out...
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2022 Posted July 16, 2022 Duran beginning to give up a lot more hits
Montdak Verified Member Posted July 16, 2022 Posted July 16, 2022 Why do we have guys we never get out in a big spot like Abreu?
