Smeltzer shockingly brought back out for the fifth, down 6-2. But pulled for the 5th, ahead by 3.

eh, not really. The chance of winning this game is extremely low. Much more important to protect a 3 run lead than to try to keep yourself in a game down 4.

Maybe I’m old school, but I would hope to god the manager isn’t conceding a 4 run game in the 5th inning
