That’s what I mean. Smeltzer didn’t have it tonight but was brought back out for the 5th. But ahead by three, pitching better, he was pulled (with less pitches as I recall). It’s no biggie as this looks like it might become a blowout, it’s just curious to me

Mrs Ash and I drove that stretch of pavement to attend the AFL* last year.  The route has its scenic rewards, but I wouldn't want to do it on a regular basis.

* Chief will complain I'm burying the lede if I don't amend that to say we drove down to see him and there happened to be a ballgame available.

BTW, apropos of nothing: Buddy Kennedy!  I just saw him play last Tuesday, in Reno!  0-3 with a walk and an RBI sac-fly.  Last game before being called up, it turns out.  He's doing better than that tonight.

MadBum just turned in maybe the worst quality start ever! 

He’s done pretty well since the twins second run. Some hard hits but got the outs when he needed them. Quality start in my book. 2 runs in 6 innings for the twins gets you a gold star

I've claimed squatters rights on his lawn.  I don't even let him on it.  @ashburyis cool though.

My only request is that he bring some scotch.  I've been advised that if I leave the lawn, @USAFChief can reclaim it for himself.  I've run dry.

Here’s my guy Poppen!

One of my Adopt-a-Prospects back when we did that stuff here. I haven’t seen him throw a pitch since 2018. Harvard grad & I figured he’d be out of the game by now by the big league paychecks must be nice. Stuff moved all over the place.
