Yeah, I can appreciate trying to squeeze another inning, but Ryan was pretty clearly running on fumes.

If there’s anything worrisome about Ryan, it is that his velo diminishes by the middle innings. Today, his secondary pitches weren’t as good. Maybe it’s the COVID layoff, maybe just one of those days.

COVID can have some lingering fatigue. There have been some times it appeared Ryan lost velo, but for the most part his stamina has been fine. I would say COVID and missed time are the culprits.

I was watching Padres-Cubs until the Twins game started. The Pads were down 5-0 in the sixth, and won 12-5. This game isn’t necessarily over, but I doubt I’ll stick with it much longer. It’s past this senior citizen’s bedtime.

Kepler's hitting .227 and a sub 700 OPS in his past 18 games.

Also, I think it may be time to bump up Celestino, he's maintaining his .337 average somehow. I don't think anybody not only foresaw him sticking with the team the whole season to this point, but also that he's hitting so darn well after he struggled so much last year.

I also would rather see Kiriloff at 1B against staunch right handers than Miranda.

Like Miranda's potential, but he is a butcher at 1B and he has been chasing high fastballs for quite a while now---the book is out.

I feel like the twins have actually taken some pretty damn good at bats tonight. The results just aren’t there. They’ve hit the ball hard. One of those nights. Maybe I’ll wake up to a surprise in the morning.

Max, how’s that leg injury? Nick, is your hamstring okay? Kirilloff was 3-4 with a grand slam today. Probably past time to bring him back. AK’s season season line with the Saints: .368 BA, 1.130 OPS.

Roccos big issue is Arreaz has to play,  bring up AK and if ya gotta play Max in c.f. against a tough r.h.. or d.h. him with Buck, outfild against r.h. Larnach and AK AND Play around with cf,  you r right Miranda has had a chance =for now anyway

I've been lenient on Jeffers for quite awhile, but this isn't acceptable. You've got to hit if you're going to let baserunners got nuts on you.

For one thing, it can't be all the pitchers.

For another, most of his throws don't even get to 2nd base. They're wide, they tail right, and they're either high or bounced.

If you’re talking about struggling players, you can add Larnach. He has looked much better in the field and he isn’t chasing as much as last year, but he’s 5-41 in June.

I don’t know how much Jeffers can be fixed in-season, and I think most of the time Twins pitchers haven’t given him much of a chance. That said, his poor throwing performance is unacceptable.
