The season is only one week old, and the Twins Daily community is already answering questions (and questioning answers) in the forums.

Slumps, exes, and stats were a few of the themes this week.

Has a once-exciting romance fallen into a predictable pattern of disappointment? Twins fans might feel that way about Miguel Sanó, and @beterday is seeking answers:
Sano Replay

Maybe you're just having trouble getting your relationship off the ground? @bighat wondered how long that might continue to apply to a (now-injured) promising young hitter:
Kirilloff's cold start

Do you ever read about an old flame and wonder what might have been? Now you can do the Twins baseball equivalent, thanks to @Rosterman:
2022 Season Begins! - Where Are Our EX-MINNESOTA TWINS

Or maybe you feel a general ennui and despair and don't know where to begin discussing it? No-prize-winning poster @mikelink45 has you covered with handy prompts to begin your baseball therapy sessions:
A guide to complaining about the Twins

Not all is bad news! In the minor league forum, @stringer bell foresees our Twins cashing in prospects to bolster our chances in a pennant race this year, which prompts the question:
Who Gets Dealt?

Finally, @Twins_Fan_In_Texas wanted to better their knowledge of the sport and naturally turned to an intelligent, trusted source. But they were closed, so they came to the Other Baseball forum, which is always open!

Does anybody see the microcosm of the first week playing out any differently for the rest of the season? 0 for the season Sano aside, no lefty starter, (only 2 one the roster) and no closer. Even if Duran steps up and seizes toe closer job, the rest of the bullpen isnt good enough to hold a lead.

Trade Arraez and others for solid relief pitching and bring up Miranda.

Otherwise this team loses 80 games 9-5.

The bullpen has only given up 1 lead so far, and it was really just 1 inning and Tyler Duffey.

Also, the starters have pitched pretty well. Probably have to see how they stretch out before we can render much judgment on the pitching staff.

Probably have to see how a second week goes before we render much judgement on anything. They played 6 games in just about the worst conditions you can play 6 straight major league baseball games in. Let's go ahead and give them double digit games before we start talking contraction.

I agree that it's way too early to judge the pitching. I'm actually optimistic about that group. I don't think its too early to judge the lineup though based on their track record. We were all planning on Kirilloff to be the number 4 or 5 hitter and with him gone and unlikely now to be that guy this year we kind of know what we have. Three good to elite hitters - Correa, Polanco and Buxton (maybe, jury is still out), one pretty good complimentary hitter with no power in Arraez, one maybe at that same level with a little more power in Urshela, a catching tandem that's decent for catchers with some power and lots of SOs, and a major black hole in RF, 1B, and LF - spots where you should have 3 good hitters not a streaky high SO guy, a lousy hitter and young, unproven guys with spotty track records. Add to that we seem to have very few position players in the minors screaming to be brought up.  Hard to optimistic about the future of that lineup.

Looks like the only way to get a better lineup is to do the one thing we probably shouldn't do - trade young pitching. I think we're stuck with this group and I don't see them as anything more than a middle of the pack offense and probably a little less than that. The pitching is better but not good enough to overcome that.

Dear Abby, dear Abby
Well I never thought
That me and my girlfriend would ever get caught
We were sitting in the back seat just shooting the breeze
With her hair up in curlers and her pants to her knees
Signed just married

Just married just married
You have no complaint
You are what you are and you ain't what you ain't
So listen up buster, and listen up good
Stop wishing for bad luck and knocking on wood
Signed dear Abby
