The announcer is full of bollocks, Buxton missed the home run by a long way, not just missed.

Well the Twins started the game with every one above .200 BA.

Just would like to remind those watching the broadcast that Morneau's lifetime OPS vs. left handers was .710 and Mauer's was .740. Not exactly the way it is being portrayed by Mr. Bremer.

Now if Sano cannot reach the ball, should he not do as he did a game or so ago and just leave the bag and catch the ball?

Would he have caught it? My impression is was cutting it off, and the misplay allowed the runner to score, but also ended the inning. Who knows what the next batter does? So it coulda been worse.

It wasn't something Rooker did to get the out. Rooker kicked the ball and cost the team a run. I guess you could say that Rooker hit the cutoff guy, which allowed Sano to gun down the runner.

I forget where i am. I should be calling ya out for the double negative: "Not sure that counts." "No" (implying it does count)

 

But meh, you are right, the run sucks, and it was a missed play. But something good came of it none the less.

 

It is standing as the difference of the game.

I'm glad the Twins promoted Jovani Moran. I was beginning to wonder if they ever brought up relievers that worked their way up through the system, rather than using marginal starters in the bull pen.

Twins have two hits, Jays have three -- that error was costly, so far.

Twins die by the walk but rarely their opponents.
