jun Verified Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 Our old friend Nik Turley is the victim. 3 runs allowed. 8-6 Indians.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 The Sox earned the 7 seed
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 Nothing Votto can pull, please
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 The Twins won’t beat anybody playing like thisWe had a pretty darn good game yesterday against a playoff starter. Getting 2 runs off Gray, another playoff starter, isn't terrible. I'm not super confident in this team winning it all, but they're certainly not bad. I think they can beat Cleveland or Chicago in the first round if they play them.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 I would like to see May as the closer but I have visions of him standing on the mound puking his guts out
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 Toronto gets one back, but trails 7-5 after eight. They need to come back to get the No. 5 seed from New York, assuming New York still loses.
insagt1 Verified Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 Pen has blown two leads. Here's a newsflash: Cruz hasn't squared one up in about 3 weeks. His swings are not powerful..only tentative. Sano...just needs to chart pitches on Tuesday. He takes the only pitch per AB that he could hit and then he swings wildly at pitches out of the zone. I would think seriously about putting both those guys on the bench. It may be radical...but the k's are killing Twins rallies. Maybe I'd cut Cruz a bit of slack...but Sano needs to sit. He isn't adding a thing to the team. Best of 3 playoff series are serious business and you just can't keep giving away outs. Twins will capture the division...but I'd like for it to be with a win....not a back-in.
jun Verified Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 Sano stats: 90 strikeouts 185 AB
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 nice job, Trevor
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 Sano stats: 90 strikeouts 185 ABso not even 50 percent. Whats the big deal??
jun Verified Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 I guess May really wanted to get his ERA under 4.

insagt1 Verified Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 If Cruz or Sano manage to come up with a game winning hit today...I will be happy, but still pretty concerned. Nice inning by May. (I wonder if Romo or Rogers will come in late and ........oh never mind
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 The Sox earned the 7 seed Just thought of this. You know what have been the only thing that could have made the White Sox debacle of this week more enjoyable? Having had Hawk Harrelson come out of retirement to whine about it.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 Twins will capture the division...but I'd like for it to be with a win....not a back-in.Im with you. There’s no guarantee playing the Astros will work, this team had trouble with KC.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 Thats just a really tough match-up for Kepler, why not bunt there? I don't like sac bunting as a rule, but in certain situations, it makes sense.
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 Cleveland 8-6 after eight.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 single to RF works, Nelson.
Sielk Verified Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 I just hope this game doesn't go into extra innings. Last thing the Twins need is to burn a few extra pitchers in a basically meaningless game.
insagt1 Verified Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 ok Nelson...here's your chance. I see 3 options: a strike out a GIDP, or a big hit.He has done a lot of the first 2...not much of the 3rd. So he's due.
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 Blue Jays lose, so they are the No. 8 seed and New York is No. 5.
twinssporto Verified Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 The Twins are gonna win the AL Central title this year,,,,Just wanted everyone on TD to know I couldn't have done it without you. Never had any doubts.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 looked like his trail foot got the bag in real time
insagt1 Verified Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 So it was the GIDP. Cruz just isn't getting good swings anymore. I know its anathema to say sit him...but he just isn't effective anymore.
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 Current update: No. 8 Toronto (set) at No. 1 Tampa Bay (set)No. 7 Chicago/Cleveland at No. 2 Minnesota/OaklandNo. 6 Houston (set) at No. 3 Oakland/MinnesotaNo. 5 New York (set) at No. 4 Cleveland/Chicago
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 Lotta nerve letting Sims throw again....Where did Cruz go? We really need him next week.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 Gotta hope Cruz picks it up, been a bad stretch, Sano = to me No hope
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 very hittable 2-0 pitch, too.
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 Chicago starting a comeback, cutting the lead to 10-2 in the eighth. Or maybe not.
