USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 That reliever in Pittsburgh who couldn’t find the plate — I’d have to look up the name...You got it, I won't make you look it up...Miguel Del Pozo. He walked 8 hitters in 3.2 IP for Pittsburgh, including all three Twin hitters he faced. If we can get THAT guy back in the big leagues, maybe Buxton will draw another walk.
flpmagikat Verified Member Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 I won't miss seeing him strikeout on those chin high fastballs next year
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 Blankenhorn sucks.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 We need to unload on one of these pitchers. They’re all struggling with command.
twinbythebay Verified Member Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 I hear ya. On the flip side: how can you ignore 2 months of possibly the worst hitting statistics in the AL?I'm not saying the past 2 months should be ignored, I'm just saying that I feel like these guys have earned a longer leash than 2 months before they're written off, especially considering the unusual nature of this season.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 Is it generally a good or bad strategy to let the 8 and 9 guys reach?
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 What next?Hit batter.

twinbythebay Verified Member Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 I predict we will be seeing multiple inning from Caleb Thielbar tonight... And the way he's pitched this season, that's not necessarily a bad thing.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 By the by...still looking for the answer to last night's pop quiz: Byron Buxton has 1 (one, uno, less than 2) base on balls this year.e Which pitcher managed to walk Byron this year? We've established he's a lefty from the NL, but not Milwaukee or StL.who is Miguel Del Poso for $100 Alex?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 A spark! And Robert looked like Griffey there
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 Dude was even running hard to second haha
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 I'm reminded of the famous Jerry Coleman (WWII and Korean War pilot, btw) call: “Winfield goes back to the wall, he hits his head on the wall and it rolls off! It’s rolling all the way back to second base. This is a terrible thing for the Padres.”
70charger Verified Member Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 After Luis Robert whacked right into that wall, they pulled the camera back into the infield. You'd expect a normal person to be maybe halfway between first and second, and somehow Buxton was already rounding second base and going incredibly fast. That was something to see.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 How was that not a HRIt wasn't deep enough, as I saw it, but I could be wrong.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 Can we get a 1-2-3 inning, please?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 Somewhat underwhelmed by Donaldson.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 Leadoff walk isn’t the ideal start
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 Can we get a 1-2-3 inning, please?No
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 Somewhat underwhelmed by Dobnak.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 Excellent positioning by the Twins infield again, compounded by a silly throw.
