That reliever in Pittsburgh who couldn’t find the plate — I’d have to look up the name...

You got it, I won't make you look it up...Miguel Del Pozo.

 

He walked 8 hitters in 3.2 IP for Pittsburgh, including all three Twin hitters he faced. 

 

If we can get THAT guy back in the big leagues, maybe Buxton will draw another walk.

I hear ya. On the flip side: how can you ignore 2 months of possibly the worst hitting statistics in the AL?

I'm not saying the past 2 months should be ignored, I'm just saying that I feel like these guys have earned a longer leash than 2 months before they're written off, especially considering the unusual nature of this season.

Yes, and for example if Kepler was hitting half of what he did last year against left handers, he would have better numbers than last year.

I predict we will be seeing multiple inning from Caleb Thielbar tonight... And the way he's pitched this season, that's not necessarily a bad thing.

I'm reminded of the famous Jerry Coleman (WWII and Korean War pilot, btw) call:

After Luis Robert whacked right into that wall, they pulled the camera back into the infield. You'd expect a normal person to be maybe halfway between first and second, and somehow Buxton was already rounding second base and going incredibly fast. That was something to see.
