ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 Oh, good lord.I rarely complain about umpiring but this season has been painful to watch. That was a mile off the plate and the ump had called that same pitch a ball multiple times that inning. At least 10 umpires opted out because of Covid. Anybody know the actual number? Could have something to do with it. STILL DON'T WANT ROBOT UMPS. EVER.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 so very true, however the royals will surely be watching the twins in the playoffs from their living rooms.Pretty surely. They've got spunk.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 18, 2020 Author Posted August 18, 2020 Nice job by Clippard to get this one to the late innings. Would love the offense to just burry this one as the late inning arms are fairly worn down. If the score holds I expect some combination of Littell, May, and Duffey
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 A scoreless 6 innings... This is when we can safely turn it over to our bullpen, right. Not that i would complain if we score a few more runs, mind you...
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 Let's go ahead and score about six and turn it over to Thorpe for the three-inning save.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 Sano - he listened to Nellie
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 I'm still glad Gordan didn't stop short of 2nd on Rosario's throw, and stay in a rundown long enough for the other runner to score. (i am right to think he had a baserunner ahead of him, right? Beem napping...
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 Sano - he listened to NellieOppo Tacito (almost a taco)!
MMMordabito Verified Member Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 Sano went the other way! Maybe that'll wake the beast.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 Forget the double. I think the most encouraging sign from Sano is that he actually made contact with the ball and put it in play.
Channing1964 Verified Member Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 that had a 112 exit velo they say Dang

LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 Today is my Grandmothers birthday, she died in the year 2000 at the age of 103, which means she lived in 3 different centuries. Not too many people accomplish that.
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 Multitasking by watching the DNC convention as I listen to the game. Whatever you Gophers think of your senator, she just got the Twins some air time with a nice TC cap product placement opportunity.
