Apparently Ozzie Guillen once said that if AJ is not on your team you hate him, but if he is on your team you hate him less.

AJ got hit by a pitch one time and after the game a reporter asked Konerko if one his teammates should have plunked someone in retaliation. I don’t remember the exact wording but it was to the effect of A.J. gets what deserves.

If the game lasts into the sixth, I'm going to be irritated if they take Berrios out 2 outs short of 200.

 

So I'm already looking at retracting my previous Gibson statements about not caring about his usage the rest of the regular season.

Official game. If it is going to rain let it be an obvious deluge that sends the team back to the hotel, not something that keeps them at the stadium for hours “hoping” to finish it.

Interesting, looks like the players were eager to make sure they get in enough innings to qualify for an official game. I guess making up a game isn't something anyone is eager to do this late in the year.

Looks like Gibby is set to enter the bottom of the 6th, providing the rain hold off. We'll see.

Are they going to let Berrios get the 2 more outs he needs for 200 IP? I hope so.

Early indication is that he won't be allowed to.

Nice! Rocco let him go out out there to get his 200 IP and Berrios finishes the 6th with a flourish. A little ragged to start but ended up being a very strong outing.

Now the pen needs to shut them down for just 3 innings and we can look forward to 100 wiins.

Now it can downpour for the rest of the evening.

Looking at the radar, it's not a matter of if it starts raining, it's more of a matter of when the deluge begins.
