LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 So does anyone else think Puig is liable to come through for Cleveland? Yeah, maybe, but if he does, it probably won't be by legging out an infield hit for an RBI.
twinssporto Verified Member Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 Well then we might be in trouble, if October arrives, because you run into a lot greater proportion of that.Yankees don't have any arms either...It will be an arms race...No pun intended.
bighat Verified Member Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 The most likely explanation for this, by far, is not poor batting. It's good opposing pitching. Nate Eovaldi had a 5.77 ERA. Eduardo Rodriguez had a 3.78 ERA. Adam Plutko had a 4.44 ERA. All of those pitchers shut the Twins down with ease. If you ask me, it's poor batting. Wish it weren't.

IndyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 And the crowd is booing. I probably would have too if I was there.
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 I guess Francona knew what he was doing.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 Be nice to win a home game
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 I guess Francona knew what he was doing. Ouink!

MNT1996 Verified Member Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 I guess Francona knew what he was doing. I bet deep down Francona really wanted to bench him, but I guess he'll take an better opportunity for a win over his morals.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 I guess Francona knew what he was doing.he wasn’t gonna bench Puig, no way, maybe in April
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 What's that about "walks will haunt"?
Bomba2026 Verified Member Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 I knew Puig would mess up sooner or later....anyway I hope we see the Squirrel tonite and it runs thru Puigs legs!
IndyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 Another wild pitch. Of course!
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 The guy is just a strikeout machine. Pretty impressive
twinssporto Verified Member Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 I never thought I would say this but Duff is a stud.
IndyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 Our offense needs to wake up from its week long nap. The sooner the better.
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 At least Civale is out of the game.
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 The guy is just a strikeout machine. Pretty impressive Except for the WP = IRS.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 Another wild pitch. Of course!Do the Twins have a catchers' coach? If so, who, and why hasn't he been fired? I speak in 2/5 jest, 3/5 bitterness.
Blake Verified Member Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 Looks like not coming through on those scoring opportunities is going to cost the Twins.

MNT1996 Verified Member Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 Except for the WP = IRS. Well yeah that part isn't impressive, but the fact that his past 12 outs have been Ks is

bird Verified Member Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 After all these years, there's still nobody in MLB who converts the routine outcome that is the humble fly out into a stinging disappointment in quite the way that Dick Bremer does. Amen! "A high fly ball... Puig looking up... and catching it." A classic.
