The ball hit the fair pole for a home run. In a more normally configured park, that pole would be many feet further, and the ball would have curved harmlessly foul.

Umm... Fenway Park is oddly shaped because it had to be crammed into the space available to build in. They didn't have much space because Rhode Island isn't far away.

Man Sano has to be bummed they are not pitching to him tonight.  I guess with a game this close they don't want to risk it.  So far we haven't made them pay for it so I guess walks it is.  At least he isn't getting himself out.  One of these times we have to make them pay, right?
