2019 Twins in the AFL

The Twins announced their Arizona Fall League assignments this afternoon.

1B/OF Alex Kirilloff

LHP Jovani Moran

RHP Dakota Chalmers

LHP Zach Neff

RHP Moises Gomez

 

They also noted that a catcher will be added to that roster.

 

Rortvedt has been on the IL for probably a month, so it may depend on his health.

Always like the AFL. Means players are sone step from the majors, more often than not.

Besides the top 2 guys I never heard of any of the others. Their stats don't even look that great either.

I agree. At some point in time starting pitching becomes a numbers game. For minimal cost we have added Chalmers and Vallimont to the mix. Savvy moves by a FO that some members were screaming to fire recently.

Obviously an attempt to get him more IP coming back. Still a little surprised to seeing him there.

Keith Law mentioned in his chat that Kirilloff has been pulled from the AFL.

No update on why Kirilloff isn't playing...

 

But he's been replaced by Luke Raley (who got hurt there last year)... 

 

They also announced that Ben Rortvedt will be going there as well (they had previously said that they would also send a catcher. Guessing that they had to sign off on Rortvedt's help.)
