Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 Mitch, don't hit the ball so hard next time and you might get two bases.
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 Really happy for Schoop! He's been pretty solid all year (outside of RISP) and just has been unlucky with Arraez crushing.
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 Baseball is a funny game. So it turns out that it only takes about 15 minutes for me to consider crossing "Jonathan Schoop" off my "People I want to kill" list.F’ing hilarious!!
Diesel Verified Member Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 I was complaining during that whole Schoop at bat about him not being pinch hit for. It is nice to be wrong every once in a while
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 Dead weight offensively, aside from his first game back he's been just invisible. Used to be a huge bat in the 5-spot for this team and he's vanished. This is a major problem moving forward. Maybe a couple days off would do him good.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 Schoop got a big hit?Is that a question? I once remember reading about a military general, who never asked a question he didn’t already know the answer to.
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 This is a major problem moving forward. Maybe a couple days off would do him good. I think it's safe to assume his thumb is still bothering him.
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 Feel like the boys need at least two more runs to win this game.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 Aaaaand ... I change the channel so I don’t have to listen to ‘God Bless America’. That has no business being the 7th inning stretch song. Absolutely none.
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 I think it's safe to assume his thumb is still bothering him. Has to be. He was a beast beforehand.
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 Aaaaand ... I change the channel so I don’t have to listen to ‘God Bless America’. That has no business being the 7th inning stretch song. Absolutely none. But.... 9/11.....
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 Jesus Christ... There's a Joe Mauer book now?
Reider Verified Member Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 Jonathan Schoop hit that timely 2 run home run for all of the haters that said he wasn't clutch.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 But.... 9/11.....*vomits on shoes* I absolutely despise that song being a seventh inning stretch ritual in modern baseball.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 But.... 9/11.....If it had anything to do with that at this point I’d be all for it.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 Jesus Christ... There's a Joe Mauer book now? It's deceptively large, as the book only has printed text on left pages.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 Schoop hits 2-run homer, removed from game. Mic drop !
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 *vomits on shoes* I absolutely despise that song being a seventh inning stretch ritual in modern baseball. Yeah I don't get it either. Do they not do "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" anymore?
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 Yeah I don't get it either. Do they not do "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" anymore? They do both, which is totally awesome because we all know how baseball needs to slow down a bit.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 Jesus Christ... There's a Joe Mauer book now?Yeah, and the first page is blank... *cause he took first pitch strikes, etc
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 Interesting that to protect the lead Baldelli goes with Arraez at second instead of Schoop...
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 Yeah I don't get it either. Do they not do "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" anymore? When I went to Texas for a couple of games years ago, they sang ‘Deep in the Heart of Texas’, which was fun. Like singing ‘Lights of the City’ being sung in San Fran.
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 Interesting that to protect the lead Baldelli goes with Arraez at second instead of Schoop... I get keeping his bat in the lineup, but Schoop is the far superior defender. Why not move Sano to 1b and put Arraez at 3b?
jz7233 Provisional Member Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 Jonathan Schoop hit that timely 2 run home run for all of the haters that said he wasn't clutch. It's hard not to be clutch every single time though. Don't get too carried away.
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 Schoop hits 2-run homer, removed from game. Mic drop ! did he hurt himself trotting around the bases?
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 It's deceptively large, as the book only has printed text on left pages. And the front cover is blank.
