And here I was under the misapprehension this was supposed to be a funny thread to relieve some of the stress of the pointless bickering going on in some of the others.

My mistake. Be seeing you.

Sorry Craig! Back to our regularly scheduled programming...

Let's say you're trying to rob an ATM. You have a blow torch... Pretty nice piece of equipment to cut through it and find a nice pay day right?

Not for these 2 criminals, who ended up welding the door shut...

My Dad was a Lego magnet and that picture is pretty accurate.  My Mom sewed, he was also very good at finding any lost pins.

Shag carpet had a lot of hidden dangers.

I'm surprised he's not naming gravity as a co-defendant:

[Paralyzed man sues over fall from tree, says he wasn't told the tree was dangerous] http://va.topbuzz.com/al/Mbpcmw

This is a loser case.  One if it's a park, recreational use statutes usually grant immunity for all but gross negligence.  Two, trees aren't open and notorious dangers (like open pits) that landowners owe a duty to invitees to warn against.  I can't believe a lawyer took their case; maybe on the off-chance the park owner wants to settle to avoid bad publicity...

If movies and video games have taught us anything, this doesn't end well...

I think that might go beyond mind boggling to scary.

Perhaps not, but the facial hair stylings will be awesome.

Have you noticed at grocery stores brands feel the need to tout their organic credibility?

"Simply Mayo" - that's right, it's just Mayo!

"Just Tomato Sauce" - nothing more, nothing less!

"Nothing But Air" - the bag has a picture of potato chips on it, but sure enough, it's nothing but air inside!

Don't get me started on the travesty BIG POTATO CHIP gets away with on a daily basis... Filling half the bag with potato chips and the rest... safety air to prevent chips from breaking?

Simply is a trademark with a number of products.

Nothing But Air also is an accurate description of me every time I swung at a breaking ball.

You want your mind boggled, start reading the the labels of everything you buy and consume.

My father in law worked for a cookie company. Yes, the air is protection....

Honestly, if this weren’t done, somebody’s mind would be boggled that it wasn’t because it’s such an obvious solution to a bag of crushed chips or cookies.

People get it. But the companies kind of overdo it, I think.

What they overdo is putting fewer and fewer chips in the same size bag and start charging more. Or putting the same number of chips in a larger bag and start charging more.

Aren't potato chips sold by weight? 500 grams of chips are still 500 grams of chips, regardless of the packaging size....no?

And that air is nitrogen gas, not only to prevent breakage but to keep them from spoiling. Ever wonder why an unopened bag of chips virtually never spoils?
