Squirrel Community Moderator Posted May 12, 2019 Author Posted May 12, 2019 I live in Bisbee. You know the area? (It's hailing now, I have a heavy sweater on ... no need to hurry summer, I love it)I had a friend that lived in Sierra Vista, so visited once. Bisbee had a ... former hippee/art commune kind of vibe ... but that was a long time ago. There are a couple others here who are actually from the area.

stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 Buxton doesn’t run on lefties (or steal third). I don’t know if I’d let him run down three anyway. He has to have more than raw speed to be adept at those things.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 Schoop sitting against a lefty, seeing to much adrianzza latelyConcur.
twins_89 Verified Member Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 I'm guessing this is one of the last games we'll see Cave and/or Adrianza (at least until someone goes on the IL). With Astudillo back today and Sano likely back next week there just isn't roster space. Since the team will be playing every day I'm also guessing another reliever will be added fairly soon as well. I'm really looking forward to a bench of Garver/Castro, Astudillo, and Gonzalez.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 Great intro! We are lucky to have my mom flying out for a visit, before we all drive to my last son's college graduation next weekend.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 Concur. "Adrianza appears to be auditioning for a AAA roster." I said that.

Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 Concur. Adrianza appears to be auditioning for a AAA roster. Concur, again.
MMMordabito Verified Member Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 C'mon, Bats! Pickup your damn pitcher! Yeah, he made an early mistake, but he he's been dealing since, including totally screwed by the umpire.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 Adrianza waits for the rest of the lineup to tank until he starts to shine
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 Ducks on the pond....scare them home Tortuga!
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 Even adding the RH bats--Schoop, Cruz, Cron--I see this club as more vulnerable to LH pitching. I definitely like Polanco better as a LH hitter and like Gonzalez' swing better as a LH hitter as well, so I believe that is part of the problem. In their careers, both Rosario and Kepler have been decidedly better vs. righties. That's also a factor in LH success vs. the Twins.BTW, Buxton's righty-lefty splits are non-existent.
mattk Verified Member Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 There is no way a MLB club should foul off or pop up very hittable pitches so frequently. This is the vaunted offensive lineup? It is offensive.

And you left out the Twins best hitter vs lefties right now, also on the bench...Garver. Rocco just shooting and hoping with this lineup...wanted to rest some guys...and going against another leftie tomorrow. Also Keplers leftie splits are worlds worse than Rosario’s...yet Kepler is the one playing today. It’s a good bet Kepler has the day off tomorrow.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 Chuck Norris would have success against this lineup today
MMMordabito Verified Member Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 Hildy is in ... Falvinelli has already punted on this one.
wabene Verified Member Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 H-Burger has gotten plenty of rest lately so the that's not an excuse
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 I feel like there was a better option to bring into the game.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 Hildenberger's stat line since the all-star break last year does not lie. This is ridiculous. And Beamer just says he pitched well in the second half of last year...... Not paying attention. After all-star break last year......9.00 ERA, 1.81 WHIP, .325 average against. He was really only "real good" in May, and pretty good in June.https://www.mlb.com/player/trevor-hildenberger-657610?stats=splits-r-pitching-mlb&year=2018
