yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 They're talking about Rickey Henderson. His success rate on stolen bases was not that great. Not bad, but he took his team out of scoring chances enough that his baserunning was not a big plus. You are talking about the guy who scored more runs than anyone in MLB history. Not a big plus? Wow. I can’t even. btw, his career stolen base percentage was over 80%. That’s plenty successful.

When you factor in caught stealing and pickoffs his base running was worth 0.7 wins on the season.https://tht.fangraphs.com/adjusting-steals-for-win-value/
Blake Verified Member Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 Baltimore is going to be in "mail it in mode" pretty soon. They got a decent start from Straily but the bullpen just imploded. Shades of Twins last year. And I'm starting to believe the Twins lineup is good enough to command respect from any team in the league.

Pretty sure that's good.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 27, 2019 Author Posted April 27, 2019 TWINS WIN!!! Fantastic showing with the bats, Berrios battles, and the bullpen is lights out. A perfect formula. Oh yeah, facing Baltimore pitching also helps.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 Great inning by May. Rodgers solid. Mejia, finally what we want from him. Now can he do it under pressure? Great performance by the pen. Gonzalez gets a hit/homer. Kepler redeems after early defensive gaffs. The game that was flat sure did blast off.

Blake Verified Member Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 The Twins bullpen is verging on being a force to be reckoned with. Romero looks to have the stuff and if his command gets a bit better, he should be lights out. Meija looks to be turning the corner. Hildenburger has been put into some ridiculous situations and, for the most part, got the job done. Not much I can say about Rogers that hasn't already been said. Parker looks to be solid, though I've not really seen enough of him to really be sold. I've not seen enough of MaGill to say one way or another. I'm looking forward to a fun year.

MMMordabito Verified Member Posted April 28, 2019 Posted April 28, 2019 What did you get? Stopped there after the opener but I wasn’t impressed with the beer I got and it was too busy to get a flight.I tried the Supra Deluxe ... It was an easy drinking rice based lager ... I liked it ... They weren't doing flights today, but I saw some people get samples ... It's so close to the stadium, that I'll probably try more.
