Week 2: Vikings @ Packers

So not only is Rodgers injured and questionable to play but Davante Adams also isn't practicing.

Ok, call me a masochist, but I'm pretty confident in the Vikings being a better team than Green Bay, even on the road. I kind of want them to be full health so the Vikings can beat the tar out of them without their fans complaining that it was only due to injuries, like last year.

If Rodgers plays the whole game, it'll be close, despite the Vikings being far more talented top to bottom. That's just the reality of an elite QB.

If Rodgers is out, it should be a blowout.

Time for Big Rich in the middle to collapse some pockets.

I don't necessarily want him hurt, but I do want the Packers to pay for this kind of arrogance.  (That and their terrible roster construction based on "get lucky with a QB every couple decades)

Rodgers was fighting with Alex Smith for #1 overall, then 23 teams, including the Vikings, inexplicably decided he wasn't worth a shot in the first round. GB grabbed him at 24 and stashed him for 3 years while everybody watched Favre pussyfoot around with retirement. That's talent recognition and acquisition, not luck.

The Vikings have a better roster top to bottom, and it's almost entirely because their last few drafts have turned out extremely well while TT completely botched the DB situation and held strong to his belief that he could find LB and DE help in middle to late rounds. It turns out he couldn't, and GBs defense has suffered for it. Again, it's talent recognition (or lack thereof in GB) and acquisition.

Players playing hurt, especially in important games, isn't unique to GB. I'm not sure what's arrogant about that.

Defense needs to start playing to it's pedigree.  To many easy runs and yardage gains being allowed by the best in the NFL.

Offense looked good on the second drive.  Nice to see Treadwell flash.

Treadwell's days in the nfl are over. Why does spealman have such a hard time identifying talent at receiver? Bust after bust. Diggs is awesome, Theilen was a lucky get. Otherwise, flop after flop.

Seriously, fun game to watch. Defense wasnt solid early on, but really toughened things up as the game went on. Offense started slow, but really is starting to gell... Outside treadwell. Without the blocked punt for td this is a different game.

Another missed fg? Really? And they drafted this guy in the 5th? Holy smokes when speilman misses, he misses big.

Read his scouting profile and read Blair Walsh's profile. Nearly identical. He's gotta go.

Wow... You can't miss that last kick in the NFL. He's done.

Doubt it. See Treadwell. Spielman will give him 3 years of chances, no matter how obvious it is that he can't play.

Why are you running the clock out and settling for a field goal? The kid clearly had no chance, none, zero.

Unacceptable boneheaded decision by Zimmer.

Agree. Your best players are diggs, theilen, cousins, and cook. Let them win the game, not your flakey kicker. 2 missed fg under 50 yards is unacceptable. Especially in that stadium. Can't trust that dude ever again.
