Garver throws it into center on cue. This is a great example of two bad teams just putting on a circus show in a meaningless game. And those of us watching just want OUR bad team to win!

I think Hawkins generally does a good job in the booth, but how is it that someone who has spent over 25 years of his life associated with baseball can't pronounce Hispanic names properly? Gladden, who has been around for close to 35 years, is even worse. To me, anyone who is serious about any kind of career in baseball should try to have a working command of Spanish, and that's especially true for people who talk about it for a living.

I find it odd how bad the defense has been in 2016 and 2018 but they seemed far more sound in 2017.

That's not a unique flaw. About 75% of American-born announcers seem to have tons of trouble...embarrassingly, it's not even that hard. It's pretty evident that they just don't work on it, and nobody corrects them. Hawkins is great in the booth, but as a relatively inexperienced broadcaster, pronunciation mistakes are on the producers. Dick's not great either.
