Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted July 14, 2018 Posted July 14, 2018 Thank goodness Rogers got pulled. <realizes he was replaced by Belisle> Dammit.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted July 14, 2018 Posted July 14, 2018 He faced 4 batters and threw 16 pitches, 4 pitches per batter doesn’t seem out of line. He just has gotten no leash at all, so he must feel like he has to be perfect. That’s a lot of pressure to have to pitch under.16 pitches. 0 swings and misses.
David HK Verified Member Posted July 14, 2018 Posted July 14, 2018 Welp, we're gonna need more runs here. Maybe we can start making Kittredge look a little less like Goose Gossage
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted July 14, 2018 Posted July 14, 2018 Meanwhile, it’s the 6th inning and the Twins are on pitcher number 4. Here are the Rays. Their starter left in the third and they are still on pitcher number two.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted July 14, 2018 Posted July 14, 2018 I have a bad feeling about this game http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-PgoP0RSKgl0/TqSAe1uy6fI/AAAAAAAABig/FykBBvlTWzE/s1600/Star+Wars+6+No+Moon.jpg "That's no bullpen, it's a lead-crusher!"
LaBombo Verified Member Posted July 14, 2018 Posted July 14, 2018 16 pitches. 0 swings and misses. Like me, you are clearly a fan of consistency.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted July 14, 2018 Posted July 14, 2018 Is Magill still on the roster? What's with teh crazy talk? Next you'll be claiming this game is only in the 6th inning.

Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2018 Posted July 14, 2018 Can we please have Moya over Rogers?Uh, no. I like Moya, but he's had a hard time in the majors and Rogers has been pretty solid.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 14, 2018 Posted July 14, 2018 ROBBIE!!! Also, stupid base running
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 14, 2018 Posted July 14, 2018 Who do we plan on giving the 8th inning to?
BoofBonser Verified Member Posted July 14, 2018 Posted July 14, 2018 This is a fun gameJust how a Friday night game should be
BoofBonser Verified Member Posted July 14, 2018 Posted July 14, 2018 Who do we plan on giving the 8th inning to? I'm guessing Duke with 2 lefties at the top of their lineup
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2018 Posted July 14, 2018 Robbie's bat has come to life in the last couple weeks. I still don't think he's much more than a bench bat but he's no longer a DFA candidate in my book. With all of these hitters rebounding, I wonder if this is bad news for Morrison when he gets back.

David HK Verified Member Posted July 14, 2018 Posted July 14, 2018 Not sure how the Rays BP sizes up stats-wise, But as a group, they surely lead the league in stupid looking hair-do's
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 14, 2018 Posted July 14, 2018 CAVE!!!!! I love watching him play
BoofBonser Verified Member Posted July 14, 2018 Posted July 14, 2018 My pick to click is a stuuuuud!!!!Cave is turning into one of my favorite players on the squad

glunn Community Moderator Posted July 14, 2018 Posted July 14, 2018 Good game thread tonight, and a pretty good game. We need an insurance run here.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2018 Posted July 14, 2018 It would be great if Cave turned out to be a really good player and could figure as a replacement to Aaron Hicks.
David HK Verified Member Posted July 14, 2018 Posted July 14, 2018 Wow, this guy has a low ERA, but he looks like a whole meat shop. And that delivery- like the hesitation step from the Coldstream frickin' Guards...

LaBombo Verified Member Posted July 14, 2018 Posted July 14, 2018 With all of these hitters rebounding, I wonder if this is bad news for Morrison when he gets back. Probably, but my guess is that what will turn out to be the worse news for Morrison is that his 2017 ISO of .270 was not only his career year for power, but also a pretty big fluke. That's coming from someone who at least sort of liked the signing. If he gets AB's, his BA and OBP will probably rebound to near 2017 levels when his BABIP overcomes some first half bad luck. But his 2018 ISO of .174 is much closer to his career mark of .187 than to his stellar 2017 plateau of .270, and power is pretty much his only marketable baseball skill, sooooopp...
