Mill1634 Verified Member Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 DOZIER!! Never seen the ball bounce that far in
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 I'll take that--a double misplayed into a triple. Now the Eddies need to get him in from third.

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 2, 2018 Author Posted June 2, 2018 Rosario isn't too shabby a hitter, eh?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 Started with a walk to Adrianza. Fine his ass.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 I wouldn't have challenged this....But I’m glad they did ... now they can’t challenge something they really should challenge. That’ll teach ‘em.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 FS1 miss the first 2 pitches like every inning?
FattCrapps Verified Member Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 That wasn't even close on Esco's 3rd strike. Lynn better get those calls.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 Replay of the pitch Rosario hit out shows it was a good 6" inside. There are plenty of good hitters who take almost every pitch outside the zone but bad ball hitters swing at any pitch they think they can hit.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 That wasn't even close on Esco's 3rd strike. Lynn better get those calls. That ruling by the first base ump was a Maybelline call. That will "makeup" for the call that went against Esco.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 Just the inning we needed from Lance!
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 Just the inning we needed from Lance!Could use 2 or 3 more like that.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 OK boys, good start to the inning, now let's pile on a little.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 Horrible hitting (and baserunning) No reason to swing at a ball low in the zone with zero strikes. Get something you can elevate
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 Horrible baserunnungIt's called the "contact play." All teams do it. Nothing wrong with it. I do agree with Milldaddy though, Garver didn't do a very good job of making contact.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 Who would have thought Lance would be up 3-1 with 2 hits allowed after the 5th. Hold it down from here bullpen
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 If Molitor sends Lynn out for the 6th he should be arrested. Fired first, then arrested.

Get something you can elevateyeah it was a light hit right to the third baseman. Play is right in front of him. With only one out, you have to make sure the ball gets through.
Dantes929 Verified Member Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 The runner has to be more than three feet away from the base path to be called out. Allen only missed the plate by a few inches so clearly he was within the rules. Rule 5.09bI wasn't saying he should have been called out based on the rules. I'm saying the rule should be revisited. The rules regarding blocking the plate have changed whereby the catcher has to position himself inside the foul lines making that reaching tag so much harder. A revised rule saying the runner has to be able to reach home plate with his slide just makes sense to me. Most runners can still have their feet be at least 6 feet outside the line and still reach home. That seems enough. I just took another look at the play on MLB. Yes, when he slid he missed by inches but he followed the baseline all the say until near Garver and then went outside three feet and then slid back toward the plate and was unable to touch the plate so I think even by the current rules he could have been called out.
