Game Thread: Twins vs. Milwaukee 5-19 @ 6:10 PM CT

[USAFChief]

Not many swings and misses from Romero so far.

[Riverbrian]

Yikes!! How's this for an upset?  Canada lost to Switzerland in the World Hockey Championship semi-finals 3:2, and Switzerland will play Sweden for the Gold.

So now it will be Canada vs USA for the bronze.

THE U.S. LOST TO SWEDEN!!!

[Riverbrian]

This team is painful to watch.

We are in the top of the 2nd.

Romero appears to have no command

You weren't supposed to mention that.

THE U.S. LOST TO SWEDEN!!!

uffda.

[Riverbrian]

Those guys who leap off the mound like this Peralta guy and Carter Capps for example.

They have a closer to the plate release point and that makes the fastball seem faster than it is.

[Mill1634]

Lets try a change of pace and actually get at least one run out of this.

[Riverbrian]

C'mon Cave

Show Buxton how to do it.

Conversely the changeup gets there faster too, so it evens out.

We think Buxton should hit LHed?

FFS.

[Mill1634]

Looks safe.

I'm all for it... Out of the Box thinking.

[USAFChief]

I don't complain too much about umpire balls and strikes calls.

But a big league ump should NOT miss that call at first. It wasn't even that close.

[USAFChief]

Adrianza/Wilson.

Sounds like runs.

[Riverbrian]

Green Light for Adrianaza?

[USAFChief]

3-0 FB right in the middle of the zone and Adrianza can't put it in play.

[Aggies7]

Adrianza swinging on 3-0 would get an immediate benching if I were manager

[Mill1634]

Once again, Ehrie is showing he has no business being in the majors. Just put the ball in play. The runner on first is moving.

I'm sure he got that call FROM his manager, and I'm all in favor. What better chance is there for Adrianza to get a hit?

Of course, he couldn't DO it, but that just proves the point.

Edit: If I'm manager, I give LOTS of 3-0 green lights. I'd bench Mauer for NOT swinging 3-0 in certain situations.

Is this cold weather ballghazi ever going to stop with Dick? Let's put an abolishment to mildly complaining about weather above 50 degrees!

[Riverbrian]

3-0 FB right in the middle of the zone and Adrianza can't put it in play.

Followed by two foul tips of pitches that would have been ball 4 and then a swing and miss for the third strike.

That was disappointing.

You’re sadly probably right

Sano with a walk and a strikeout so far this evening at Rochester.

[Vanimal46]

Oh boy, feather bat...

I was OK with it. He was going to get a fat one.

Missing it... I'm not OK with.
