There ya go... That's what we needed.

Now watch them produce a run next time up.  :)

Which will not negate his point.  :)

Not to mention the impact long term if they don't pan out. This club will be in serious trouble if they don't develope into legit stars.

At least one of them.

At least one of them.

I personally think they need both in order to be true contenders. By contenders, I'm not talking about the division.

I'm not all that interested in just winning divisions.

Honestly just feel bad for him. He can’t possibly be having an ounce of fun even with the $$

Not an ounce of sympathy. Hes a professional that isn't doing his job.

This front office does not appear interested in promoting Gordon or wade.... They are still in AA ball for some reason.

Auto outs: Buxton, Adrianza and Wilson. All three cannot hit major league pitching.

I wonder how Molitor keeps it together when he looks at that group and thinks, gee one of these guys is going to be my #7 hitter.

After already writing "Eduardo Escobar, cleanup hitter."

Judging by some of the lineups here turns out, I'm not convinced he's bothered in the least!

I don't suppose it would improve morale if I pointed out that Suter is the least effective of the Brewers' 5 starters?

So you're saying that it's downhill from here?!?

I got the loser too:

On May 18th of 1991 the Twins #7 hitter was Shane Mack.

Shane Mack, 1991:  .310/.363/.529.

I wonder what Shane is up to these days? Our RH hitting fourth OFer slot is open.

Definitely true, but he doesn’t strike me as the type who may or may not give a flip about his struggles (sano?). Easier to brush off a guy who looks like who doesn’t care over the guy SEEMINGLY trying but being so utterly lost.

I’d have a hard time booing buxton. And I’m a huge proponent of booing.

You and I have both agreed that a RH OF would have been perfect for this collection of players.

Look at this way.

Escobar is batting cleanup because he is the only reasonable option to hit in that spot with Sano.

Look at Molitors Lineup

Left - Mauer/Morrison

Right - Dozier

Left - Rosario

Switch - Escobar

Left - Kepler

Switch - Grossman

Right - Buxton

Switch - Adrianaza

Right - Wilson

Molly has consistently balanced his lineup cards like this to try and avoid letting the opposing manager come in with a left hander to face Mauer, Rosario and Kepler in a row.

Without Sano in the lineup and without Buxton Performig and with Wilson playing over Garver because of defensive concerns... This Attempt to balance the lineup is futile.

Pick any 3 players in this lineup and tell me where it doesn't make sense to bring Hader, Jennings or Boone Logan to finish the Twins off when the Brewers have the lead.

Outside of Dozier... The only threats are lefties or Switch hitters. Just bring in a lefty. The Twins can't counter it.

Gene Larkin was the 7 hitter on 5/18/92, substituted by Lenny Webster. Baseball is funny

I think the point being made was, with a bottom three of Buxton, Adrianza, Wilson, it doesn't matter WHO you bring in. You don't have to bring in a reliever.

With Buxton struggling, the bottom third of the Twins order is like three NL pitchers in a row. And you are going to struggle to consistently score when a third of your lineup is a black hole.

In 1987 Tom Brunasky was the #7 hitter most of the season, but they had an off day on May 18th, and I'm nothing if I ain't poetic.

Carnac:  Name two beings capable of hitting HRs at will against the Twins pitching staff.

Next make a joke about how bad the traffic is on the basepaths when Milwaukee is at bat

OK... the bottom third of the lineup is marginal.

And the Top 6 players in your lineup that is capable of production can be marginalized.

I'm still saying that Sano and Buxton playing to Sano and Buxton capability and a RH hitting OF'er will take care of both problems.

Carson: "The traffic on the basepaths was so bad with Gibson on the mound..."

McMahon: "How bad was it?"

...

laughs

The traffic was so bad, my nav system asked "Are we there yet?"
