Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Hey how about throwing a strike, Al?
Blake Verified Member Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Looks like Spicoli. Sadly, my teenage years resemble that photo. Riverbrian 1
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 So it's your fault then, I'll take that responsibility. How many times has he come up big? Dude is an black hole with runners on. And he's starting taking his stupid shin guard off like a fricken a'hole right in front of the plate lately. Bozo. David HK 1

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 I'm guessing Kepler's been told not to throw full out (or can't).
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Why are we giving Lindor a pitch to hit on 2-0 with a base open
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Did the Natives just manufacture a run? Geez, it's almost like they're the best team in baseball...
Whammy Verified Member Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Walks (when they are trying to give you outs) will haunt

Darius Verified Member Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 This inning for the Indians is what the Twins can seemingly never do in a tight game. Don't strike out. Move runners over. Get the runs that the opposing pitcher hands to you. David HK and FlauerPauer 2
David HK Verified Member Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Whoa--- I just checked in to the game on a break from work-- this is one of those proverbial bullpen games, eh? Class AA style.... Go, Lookouts! Riverbrian 1
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Did the Natives just manufacture a run? Geez, it's almost like they're the best team in baseball...They got a base hit, a walk, a fly ball and a fly ball. There was no stolen base, no sacrifice. Blake, twinsnorth49 and David HK 3
David HK Verified Member Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 So this is a major difference between a Cleveland team and the present Twinkie team. They get their guys over, and get 'em on in when they have the chance. A few less K's that don't advance the runner, and a few less Mighty Casey swings when a short poke to the grass would do just fine.... FlauerPauer 1

FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 They got a base hit, a walk, a fly ball and a fly ball. There was no stolen base, no sacrifice. One fly ball moved the runner over. Other fly ball scored the runner. Almost definition of manufacturing a run.
David HK Verified Member Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Because.....Molitor.I am convinced that this season and the pennant race are in spite of the mgr, not because of him. How many dang games has he already cost with bone-headed lineups and in-game decisions? FlauerPauer, notoriousgod71, USAFChief and 3 others 6
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 I generally consider Francona to be a pretty smart guy. But, he's got Bruce, Santana and Kipnis batting consecutively. All 3 are much worse vs LHP. If the Indians do that in the playoffs, those three will see nothing but LHP after the 5th. Kinda makes the opposing manager's job easy.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Cant shake the feeling that this game was doomed when Bart stepped on the mound. David HK and FlauerPauer 2
David HK Verified Member Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Oh, I'm sure he's eligible. The question is twofold. How many pitchers? Which ones? It's worth noting that the Twins only have 15 active position players, one of whom is Niko Goodrum. A veteran MLB guy like Matt Hague might have been a useful player to have around, especially with Sano likely out.Agree. I find it incomprehensible why Hague or Park or both are not on that pine right now. USAFChief 1

yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 This would be a big hit for Kepler.
