What a bunch of bums. It's all good though. Would rather not watch this in the postseason

What are you bellyaching about now?  If you'd rather not watch in the postseason, then fold up the tents now and don't even watch the last 2 weeks.

Santana pitched more than well enough to get the win last night.  He just got no support.

You're not wrong, but 5 2/3, in trouble every inning. Need more our of the ace in late September. Maybe that's unreasonable, but heavy is the head

Like I said yesterday, if losing here helps them pass the Red Sox and we could somehow still qualify, I'm all for it. I'm not interested in twins/Yankees playoffs version 5.0. I've seen enough of that.

They keep talking about Judge and comparing his HR numbers to guys that played in real baseball stadiums.

He's hit 17 home runs on the road, and 31 in that bandbox in his career. Put him in any other stadium and he has 30 HRs this year.

Or... you know... 34

I was a little behind on the DVR....

No mention of that TRULY pathetic throw home from Kepler?

Haha he had no shot to get him but yeah, that was a 15 bouncer

Agreed. It's reasonable to expect your best players to step up when it matters most. I don't consider 5.2 innings to be stepping up...especially with this bullpen.

If this score stays this way, there's no coming back in the 9th off that fireball lefty. This is a 3-inning game at this point.

Big stretch for a silver lining!  Props to your creative optimism!

It's technically possible. Although I'm not sure Fenway is a much better option.

Against one of the most potent offenses in MLB it probably is an unreasonable expectation.

So you wouldn't expect your ace starter to finish 6 innings in the postseason?

When I checked this out, Youtube had this one along the side as a related video:

I went ahead and bookmarked it for any time I need to bring a smile to my face.

How did you embed the video like that in the text box?  I couldn't figure it out this afternoon.

What record? I'm not watching the twins broadcast

Not sure if this has been answered in the thread but the season record for home runs across the league.

Alex Gordon finally broke it but MLB will likely end up with about 800 more.

It really makes baseball tough to watch when every guy bats .245 with 35 HR and 170 K.

Out of curiosity I checked his home run chart for the season, looks like he'd still have a bazillion, bandbox or otherwise.

Did the top of the 5th even happen

I let the dog out and missed the entire half of the inning. He wasn't out that long.

Yeah, they mentioned it on the yankee broadcast later. Thought it was the twins single season hr record.

Not if you are Dave Roberts or Joe Maddon. Then you would try to get 12 guys in every game.

If we had their bullpen staffs, I'd agree with you

Hey ESPN broadcasters -- Sano not being in the lineup hasn't been what has hurting this team.  It's the suspect pitching and the suspect usage of the bullpen.
