Game Thread: TWINS at Yankees -- September 19, 2017 7pm ET (ESPN National Broadcast)

[Aggies7]

I don't care if these are professional athletes.  The Twins are intimidated, expect to lose, and that includes the manager.

Someone on twitter said that the twins are the final remaining team still intimidated by pinstripes.

And god is that true

I have to agree. It's not rational and I don't know why, but it just is.

You really are a sick in the head masochist if you want another wack at the yanks in a few weeks

Hey, we're due.

This pitcher has 99 strikeouts in 64 innings. He's not even one of their best relief pitchers.

Your move, Derek

ah, yes

You see how many empty seats there are in the Bronx tonight? This is how bad the twins perform in front of a barely interested environment. Imagine when the fans actually show up. They're prisoners of their own mind.

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

The game is televised on ES*N tomorrow, and not Fox.

Do you think the Fox video and broadcast crew will just fly out to the next city instead of putting themselves through the punishment of watching the Twins play here?

ah, yes

It took a couple of tries to get the picture to post right.

take in a b'way show.

[Aggies7]

Why would joe get a big hit?

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

take in a b'way show.

you mean there is stuff to do in New York?

[Aggies7]

you mean there is stuff to do in New York?

If the other option is seeing tomorrow's game, I'd rather get peed on by a subway bum, to be honest.

Anyone ready for round 3, tomorrow?

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

If the Twins get swept in New York, fire everyone. Please do that. I'm not sure that's being facetious.

FIRE HIM!!!

[AlwaysinModeration]

Let's go Cleveland, let's go.

[Aggies7]

YOU WANT MORE OF THIS?

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

The Twins just retired .150 hitting Greg Bird

Hurdle cleared

Backing in ... is still in.

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

YOU WANT MORE OF THIS?

I'm also a lifelong Vikings fan, so yes.

[AlwaysinModeration]

Of course, the Yankees have left 10 men in scoring position. This game is somehow still winnable. We could use an Earl Weaver.

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

"Tough play"

[Aggies7]

Imagine, as a professional athlete, being intimidated by other professional athletes.

[Danchat]

The two pitchers the Twins have trotted out in this inning have a combined 30 ERA. Usually that's not idea in a game that's still within 3 runs.

[Aggies7]

Can someone just plunk Gardner already?

[USAFChief]

I would have bet a lot of money on a pitchout on the first pitch.  EVERYbody knew Gardner was running there.

Except Molitor I guess.

[Whammy]

Can we get Garver warming?

[Aggies7]

Haha the stadium sound guy played breakdown after gimenez had one of the worst attempts at blocking a pitch in the dirt I've ever seen. Well done

[AlwaysinModeration]

Come on Curtiss, lower that ERA into the 18sz

[USAFChief]

eh....at first look he's safe.

EDIT:  no replay shown, none asked for, must have been out.
