drock2190 Verified Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Noodle arm Granite. A decent outfielder would have gunned down Turner at the plate. He's slow
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Doesn't matter where the throw went, that run was scoring anyway since Granite doesn't have much of an arm. But Mauer not thinking that maybe with the runner going they might have a chance at 1st and instead playing cutoff man may have cost them the game. Then again, if Kintzler would stop making it interesting all the time, perhaps we'd be batting still up 5-4.

howeda7 Verified Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 The season rapidly circling the drain
twinsbaby Verified Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Hahahaha, a bullpen arm can't strike anyone out will always has the chance to blow out save.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Unbelievable. Granite is a bonehead. You don't throw it if no one is there. You don't make that throw if someone IS there with a tying run on third that can score if the play is botched.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 here's the worst - that fly ball was so damn shallow
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Third night in a row I swore I wouldn't stay up to watch.
drock2190 Verified Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Maybe if Granite caught the ball at 2nd base he might have thrown home
howeda7 Verified Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Sell Santana and Garcia. There is literally no way the current makeup of this team can compete in its current state.Garcia and Kinter. Santana only id blown away.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 27, 2017 Author Posted July 27, 2017 Would the run have counted if it crosses the plate before the runner is doubled off first?
Dozier's Glorious Hair Verified Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Hahahaha, a bullpen arm can't strike anyone out will always has the chance to blow out save. Say what?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Would the run have counted if it crosses the plate before the runner is doubled off first? No
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Seriously...WTH? Nobody covering 1B?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Would have been tough to throw home with the ball tailing towards right. Mauer should not have went for the cutoff (for what?). But I don't think anyone thought the throw would go to first. Have to at least try. Nobody would have questioned him if he did.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Offense has been dormant since the 4th
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Heart conditions run in my family. Maybe I'll just read the next day box scores at this point.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Atta boy Kep get it started

It seems to me that Granite was entitled to believe that someone would be there.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 $5 bucks says Granite comes up with RISP this inning

drock2190 Verified Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Can't wait to see how the Twins blow this opportunity
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 The Twins also cover bunts poorly, having no one at third when a force play is thereWe make up for it though by our inability to bunt ourselves
glunn Community Moderator Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Why do players show the bunt before the pitcher even begins his motion?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Oh snap, runner at third less than two outs. Kryptonite!
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Honestly I'm ready for a steal of home attempt
