amjgt Verified Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 I see that the break didn't help Polanco's patheticness
jimmer Verified Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Astros do NOT have the best record in baseball. Danchat 1
twinsbaby Verified Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 (edited) Berrios is another overhyped player like Buxton. He will look good in SSS but not long-term. Edited July 15, 2017 by twinsbaby
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Granite has a weenie arm, apparently.
jimmer Verified Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 (edited) Correa is up, but it doesn't get easier after that cause McCann is after and he's a 'veteran' hitter. Yeah, okay. Regardless of how McCann does, It DOES get easier since Correa is a much better hitter than McCann. Edited July 15, 2017 by jimmer

PDX Twin Verified Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Keep thinking: Berrios will be a better pitcher next year for games like this one. Platoon 1

jimmer Verified Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Hughes has BEEN an effective reliever before and hasn't been a starter his whole career.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2017 Author Posted July 15, 2017 For those of you scoring at home. So far the Polanco boot cost us 5 runs... Could be more It also cost Jose Berrios 31 extra pitches. That won't be more because he has been pulled. Later it will probably cost us a rested bullpen and maybe Granite or Vargas a Major league spot when they need to call up another pitcher. Ouch
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Shame. Berrios can be rattled pretty easily, at least today. It seemed he lost all his touch and had no action. Yes, Polanco started it, but an ace will overcome. Houston is killing this team. And all the other teams. We are not alone. But this is why you don't go all in this year, and sell off too much talent for one pitcher that can get hurt or start sucking, anyway. Platoon 1
Intramural Legend Verified Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Over / Under 20 runs given up today?

jimmer Verified Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 McCann hits that HR cause Hughes is pitching and because McCann is a veteran
twinsbaby Verified Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 After first 2 start, Berrios had Gibson-line advanced stats.
amjgt Verified Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Nothing like coming into a game where everything you do is unearned, right Phil?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2017 Author Posted July 15, 2017 It's not often you see an 8 run error. I'm going to mark down where I was.
