Ball went off the tip of Grossman's glove after he ran a long way.  It didn't go in and out.  He played it as well as he could.  Legitimate hit.

Personally I find it hard to watch Rosario prance around the outfield all the time. However i would take the slightly erratic players, Sano's fundamentals don't worry me nearly as much as Rosario's.

I agree on Rosario. He was fun to watch as a talented, unpredictable rookie, but it's time for him to harness some of that energy and learn to play smarter.

I would much rather see that slot in the rotation be given to one of the AA guys on a couple game by couple game basis. Just to get their feet wet and if they stick GREAT. Maybe give Slegers a shot as well?

I just know he is going to be prancing around and get too cocky... and drop the ball in a critical situation one of these days.

I was watching the Indians game before this one started.  Clevinger (the Indians pitcher) walked 3 guys in the first inning, didn't give up a run in that inning.  He's still pitching.

I'll say this, it's at least fun to get to scoreboard watch and have it mean something for a change, even if it's only July. That's a step in the right direction.

Either that or will make a game-saving play in the postseason (assuming he is still around when that happens).

If I had my way, Grossman would be full time DH (since they refusse to put Sano there full time).  I said that during the offseason.  But he played that well. A faster guy gets that, but he played it well.  Just didn't catch it.

With Freddie Freeman of the braves switching over to 3rd base I want to ask, How do you guys think Mauer would do at 3rd? just a crazy thought.

Yeah, if he's going to play that's what I'd rather see too. I'd still like Vargas to play most days though, so I've got a bit of a conundrum on my hands. I'm not sold on Vargas being an every day player yet, but I'm not convinced he's not. I'm also not convinced that Grossman is either. I know that I don't like seeing a glove on his hand though.

Sorry :( I just think he would adapt quickly there. Have a Solid power hitting first baseman and have Sano DH as a secondary option at 1st and 3rd.  :banghead:

Because I think he could be above average defensively wherever he plays honestly. and it would give the Twins more positional flexibility. Moving Sano to DH and having him play 1st 1/3 of the timen as well as an option at 3rd occasionally while adding a good power hitting 1st baseman. Probably a stupid idea I must admit.
