Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2017 Posted June 22, 2017 The migrants aren't necessarily the target audience. Monterrey offers more chances for corporate sponsors and luxury box consumers, more disposable income in the native population, modernized urban infrastructure and facilities. Closer ties to the US economy, more people speak English... Much of Mexico City is Third World... and as pointed out by RB, Guadalajara won't do.Umm.. It was the girl in the song who said it. She was surprisingly cruel tho.

Although I sort of take exception to the idea that "much of Mexico City is third world." Are there a lot of people in poverty? Yes. It's a city twice the size of New York in a country that is less free than the U.S. But for better or for worse, the real wealth in the country is in CDMX, average incomes notwithstanding.

In short, it's an economic basket case.So is Chicago, and they have TWO teams
