3. Needles. The city of Seattle is known to be the home of the world’s largest and only space needle. Its exact purpose is hard to comprehend. We use needles to draw blood or weave fabrics together, but neither of those are applicable here as space is vast and empty.

 

 

A little known fact, the Space Needle was actually constructed as a film location for one of the best political thrillers of all time, "The  Parallax View."  Like many illustrious Olympic venues, it still stands in all its former glory.  (And if you've never seen that film, you should).
