This is nothing new.

Yeah, its frustrating, because he's great at creating contact--if he'd only swing at pitches he could make good contact on, he'd be really good.

Not sure what's up with Rosario. He doesn't look good at the plate. He's swinging a lot, but at the wrong pitches.

This is different how???

True, but usually Rosario swings at the wrong pitches with more confidence. Right now he doesn't look confident, just worried.

Maybe that's a sign that he's finally realizing that he's swinging at the wrong pitches.

The Baltimore play-by-play guy is talking about Berrios' high school in Puerto Rico, Papa Juan.  He explains to his cohort that Juan is Spanish for John, and asks if that means Berrios majored in pizza.

Two things--

1) Papa in Spanish refers to the Pope, so its Pope John, not the slinger of pizza.

2) You don't have a major in high school.

3) They probably get that a lot.

It would seem that those guys don't have a major at all...

I'd say this is the classic error of explaining the joke, but sometimes the joke is on the joker.

From the field (seats right behind 1B) update:

Vargas during warmups:

1)Barehands a throw from Dozier one inning

2)Bounces one off his bicep before starting warmup tosses the next inning

Definitely got a little Big Papi vibe going.

Also,4-1, Hardy HR

Also, 5-year old update:

1)hot dog, lemonade, and ice cream...already

2)rooting for Orioles "because it sounds like Oreos"

3)"why didn't [Adam Jones] throw it to me?"...as he was coming off the field

I like the way he thinks.  I might have to become an O's fan too!

Perhaps this announcer would know that had he gone to high school?

Hey Cap'n!  Thanks for askin.

Good:  It's my day off.

Bad:  Gotta leave soon for the dentist office.
