Game Thread: Twins @ White Sox, 5/11/17 - 7:10pm CT

[LaBombo]

My co-worker showed me awhile back how to use 1 piece of toilet paper if I ever got in a bind.

Now this was a presentation outside of bathroom, mind you.

Weighing the pros and cons of asking where you work...

[Guest]

Somewhere in the sabermetric guide book, it says that a team that strikes out twice against Kintzler a "[very bad] team." It actually says something else, but I sanitized it for Twins Daily. Hey, it's sabermetrics, not me!

[USAFChief]

If Buxton ever sees a pitch headed for the dirt on an 0-2 count he should be instructed to swing

Pretty sure he already got that memo.

Whenever Dr. K comes into a ballgame, I get this kind of feeling....

Sidebar:  I always wondered why, if you're a tightrope walking family, you'd go by the moniker "Flying" Wallendas.  Like, flying is maybe something you don't want to do when you're walking several meters about the ground...?

The "Walking-Really-Slowly-With-A-Bar-For-Some-Reason Wallendas" doesn't have the same ring.

[David HK]

Gee, so we went down meekly in our half of the ninth?  That's not, like, a recipe for anything, is it, man?

"flying" beats "landing," too, for that matter.

[LaBombo]

Is that Chicago's CLOSER in the game, down 1 in the ninth?

Is that even legal?

It may be, but do you really want to make that assumption based on it being done by the only MLB team ever to deliberately lose a World Series for money?

[mikecgrimes]

Pretty sure he already got that memo.

Up until tonight I'd argue that but he looked like first week of the season Byron tonight with the defensive error erasing any credit I give him for dribbling a ball 50 feet in fair territory.

True dat.  Tough to fit on a poster, too.

[David HK]

That's it, Brandon!  Pound that ball zone!

Oh, wait... it's supposed to be...

never mind.

I'm still surprised ND has applebees

Even the CEO of Applebees probably still scratches his head from time to time when he sees those push pins in the map of their locations on his office wall.

Cabrera should run out ground balls more often

[mikecgrimes]

Just in case you're not aware that out was big

It's Applebee's.

[glunn]

Sano made that one close, but now just two to go.

If their slogan is actually true, a neighborhood should be a requirement for a franchise.

[Aggies7]

Finally ol Jerry gives us a corner

[USAFChief]

Mrs Chief told me she didn't like the way I looked with the new glasses.

"Ok," I said.  "I won't wear them."

"No," she said, "mine."

[mikecgrimes]

That pitch was far worse then the one Mauer complained about Sunday.

[John Kelsey]

This is my daily reminder to all that the Sox are keeping Moncada in AAA so they can play this Saladino thing every day.

[USAFChief]

-laka delivered.

winnah!

[Aggies7]

How the heck did we win that one?

[twinssporto]

Winner Baby!!!!

[gocgo]

Kintzler had some serious movement on his pitches tonight.  If we need a closer tomorrow night, who gets the call?

[glunn]

Huge win.

[mikecgrimes]

Give that man a save

[John Kelsey]

Never any doubt.

[David HK]

Please get Abreu here.  Pleeeeeeeeeeeeze....

Please don't let Garcia come up as the winning run.....

[70charger]

Made it a nailbiter, but I get to have some chicken, so there's that.
