Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 And you claim you're thirty? And what year did you turn thirty? 1990?Hahaha you got me there. But I really am 30. A hard 30.
Guest Guests Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Sometimes I get the feeling a change of scenery would help Gibson tremendously. In watching him, it seems to me like Gibson really doesn't want to pitch here.Reminds me of Kyle Lohse. Capable pitcher, but just couldn't get comfortable here, didn't jell with anyone, sold for nothing and then had many good years.
BoofBonser Verified Member Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Please just get one run out of this inning... please
crapforks Provisional Member Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 He may not be a horse, but is he nick Blackburn?OK. I didn't see it coming, but I think this is a Kyle Gibson compliment: Kyle Gibson is a better pitcher than Nick Blackburn.
Taildragger8791 Verified Member Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 I don't see anything about Gibson's game that would translate to the pen. Even adding velocity doesn't seem like it would do much. His struggles the 2nd and 3rd times through the lineup notwithstanding, he only really has value as a horse. He's not a horse That's what I've been thinking too, but I do wonder if that fastball/slider would play up out of the pen if he focused on them and shelved the changeup and sinker that doesn't sink.
Guest Guests Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Castro starting to look again like Astro Castro with the K's.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Jorge Polanco is a huge bright spot

Taildragger8791 Verified Member Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Looks like Kohl Stewart had another tough game. 4 IP, 2H, 4BB, 3R, 0ER, 1SO, took his 3rd L of the season already. I'm starving for some signs of hope in the minor league pitching ranks. It's basically Berrios or bust this year the way things are going.
BoofBonser Verified Member Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 So frustrating to watch this team right now
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Rosario swings at one in his own batters box. The offense is sputtering at this point
Whammy Verified Member Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Jorge Polanco is a huge bright spotRosario is the black hole that will not let Polanco's brightness escape his event horizon
Twinsoholic Verified Member Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Yikes! Rosario and Escobar K. Bad hitting. The cannot even catch a break on the wild pick off throw to first.

Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Hoping we put our "A" lineup out there tomorrow night, even though no one in the field has really hurt us tonight.
Taildragger8791 Verified Member Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Jorge Polanco is a huge bright spot I always really liked Polanco. It's amazing he's flown under the radar so much. He's just so consistent. Not great at anything but pretty good at just about everything you'd want from him. Exactly the kind of steady hand a winning team needs.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 I'm really considering buying the extra innings package. My internet connection is apparently not good enough to watch on MLB tv with any clarity. I feel like I'm watching scrambled Cinemax. But I'd rather not drop more money if we're going to continue to struggle!

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 And i caught up on the game thread. Did the Twins catch up in the meantime?
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 I thought Target field is outside...Tonight? On the outside, looking in.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Apple or pineapple?Does Clamato count?
Platoon Verified Member Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Hoping we put our "A" lineup out there tomorrow night, even though no one in the field has really hurt us tonight. The "A" lineup is only for opening day. After that you have to start resting players and keeping the bench fresh!
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Does Clamato count?How about tomacco?
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Pitching change... Hopefully we can make a corresponding hitting change.
howeda7 Verified Member Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 This offense is so much fun to watch. Cling to Breslow like grim death.
Taildragger8791 Verified Member Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 I know it's a Monday but the crowd looks a little sparse for a winning team on a nice night this early in the season. This club has some work to do to consistently get the fans back in the stadium.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 I don't like the 2016 vibes I've been getting lately.
