1. Hawaii – Perhaps the top vacation destination in the world is actually hundreds of islands all connected by water.

I don't mean to be obtuse*, but if these hundreds of islands were connected by something other than water, they wouldn't be islands, would they?

They'd be...land.

*this is an actual, real word.  I heard  it used in "The Shawshank Redemption."  And that guy was really, really smart, so it has to be real.

That smart guy got like a month in the hole for using the word obtuse. I think that was pretty extreme! A couple weeks in The Dells should encourage you to return to a language the rest of us can understand! :)

I'll be among the 40- or 50 thousand at tonight's game.  Look me up if you want to buy me a beer.

Stick around til the end of next week, the weather should suit you just fine.

Going to Hawaii in January......looking forward to it!

Well, water freezes here in January, so maybe those islands of Hawaii will be connected by ice...never been there so just thinking obtusely ....

I hope Chief has used that last word, as that would make it a real word.

And if, connected by that ice....would they still be islands????

I usually get lineups on http://mlbstartingnine.com/ or http://www.baseballpress.com/lineups

Between those two you always find both teams.

It may be worth it if FSN airs it, loses the right to broadcast games, and the Twins get a better TV contract.

Chief, you know what to do. Take one for the team!

Thankfully I'm going out to dinner tonight so may not catch Chief taking one for the team.

Awesome intro Riverbrain. Actually, surprised you didn't list Wall Drug as No. 5 destination. Anybody going westbound on I90 during mid afternoon with sun beating down on you knows what I'm talking about.

I researched it and Wall Drug came in at 83rd Most Popular.

This is down from 6th a decade ago.

According to reports... The decline was the result of tourists expecting something else and discovering that they sold fridge magnets primarily.

And you'd have no idea what payola is?

Nah... I read that word and I still have no idea what it means.

It's a term from the radio industry, so it might be a little obscure. But it means disk jockeys playing songs out of the goodness of their hearts so as to give struggling new artists a chance.

Good start for Erv.. trade interesting trending upwards. Keep it going

I'm not sure what my expectations should be for the Twins after the break.

I'm leaning toward the Twins going on a tear and putting the hurt on all of the contenders.

Any links for a good inning-by-inning shadow market where I can try to do a little arbitrage?

That's my default assumption until proven otherwise.
