Arcia tonight

What 5 positions are you talking about?  Really only 4 to rotate them through.  Should be pretty easy to do though.  Give each guy 1 day off per week

correct.  OF, DH, and 1B knowing the Grossman and Buxton are the only real CFs of the group... but it can be done.  That was my main point.  I want Arcia getting consistent PT.

Grossman has no business in CF.  He's only tolerable in a corner spot, defensively. Perhaps you meant Kepler and Buxton are the only ones who can play CF?

Park needs to go to Rochester and Arcia to dh. Do this for a month and see what they both do.

Park has been one of the few decent hitters on the team this year and should absolutely not be sent down. If you need to find room for Arcia then let it be at someone else's expense.

Looks like Park had a little trouble with the knuckleball.

I'd like to see Arcia get his PAs and with the lousy record and so few guys having good seasons, I think there should be plenty of PAs. I still think Kepler should head back to Rochester and get a bit more AAA experience.

Kepler should certainly be in AAA. Play Grossman, Buxton and Arcia everyday in the meantime.

Let Arcia even take his licks against LHP, it's a lost season, no need to even platoon Arcia currently as well, while Sano is on the DL.

Park has an OPS that is barely acceptable for a DH and is striking out 30% of the time. Yes, he has been one of the better hitters on the Twins this year, but the Twins are also looking like a 115 loss team this year. Additionally pitchers have been making him look worse and worse as the year has gone on. He absolutely is a guy who could benefit from some AAA time and coaching (from a non Tom Brunanski) in a lost season for the big league club.

Re: Park

His last 21 games: .155 average .540 ops 27 strike outs.

He needs someone to work with him.

Park is not a major league hitter right now. He runs into a cookie once in a while but really never even puts the ball in play.

Try applying these stats to Arcia.

The argument isn't that Park is awesome but rather that he is hitting better than the other options at LF/RF/DH aside from Sano (on the DL). Unless of course you believe that the FO are geniuses for picking up Grossman for nothing and he will continue to hit.

And then we watch Arcia get put in right field today and butcher a routine out.  That has been and always will be why he doesn't get consistant playing time, regardless of plate performance.

This. AND his plate performance.

I am not a big Arcia fan and believe he should rarely see the field but in this lost season he needs to get some regular dh at bats.

When I think of Arcia, I can't help thinking of Earl Weaver, who was a master of looking past what a player couldn't do, and finding what he could do and integrating it into the team. Maybe he'd decide Arcia couldn't contribute, but it seems to me that he might decide this was his new John Lowenstein (also a questionable glove).

that's what our corner OFs do. certainly we've seen enough of that in RF (and to a lesser extent LF) this season to know that.
