David HK Verified Member Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Well, it's after midnight here, and won't be awake for the game thread, but I just thought I'd throw this in-- Per MLB.com:• The Twins are hoping to have back two banged-up players who have avoided the disabled list. Third baseman Trevor Plouffe came out of Friday's game with a bone bruise in his right knee, and catcher Kurt Suzuki was held out Sunday after being taken out of Saturday's game when a pitch hit him in the mask, although he was cleared of a concussion. Ummm, that's OK, guys, why don't you take a little more of a rest? Don't want anybody to strain anything coming back too soon. Seriously, have some more clubhouse cold cuts, pile it high, make a real big sandwich, and just relax and enjoy the game! (and maybe a few more in the coming week).

Jham Verified Member Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 If we want them to prove they are performing at a trade worthy level they have to be playjng.Teams won 4 in a row. 2 best hitters, Nunez and Grossman are quasi-reserves, Centeno has looked super comfortable behind the plate working with the staff, and both Plouffe and Suzuki have too much of a track record to scare off or attract new suitors. Zuke is a qualified back-up. Plouffe is a serviceable right handed bat and third baseman. Both look like they could use some new surroundings. No harm either way other than proving they're healthy.
bluechipper Provisional Member Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 It looks like they are taking another day. Neither are in the lineup against the A's today.

Four game winning streak? OMG, don't touch a thing!
David HK Verified Member Posted May 31, 2016 Author Posted May 31, 2016 Another attack on the character of hard working men. Performance, and willingness of a certain manager to continually rely on that under-performance in key spots in the lineup and during the game.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 All right, I guessed a little wrong on the motivation of the thread. But (moderator note:) let's keep the personal side out of it toward each other. I already had to remove one post that took it too far. If you disagree with the characterization of under-performance of certain players, rebut or move on, please.
