Game Thread: Twins vs Royals, 5/24/16 @ 7:10 PM CT

[Riverbrian]

I assume it will be one of the pitchers, not that it would matter.

I've really done a great job of being over heads tonight

[Platoon]

Question:  What's the biggest upside to this really sad season?  Just curious if there is anything I can hope for or if there is a silver lining somewhere.

Next year it will be easier to improve.

You mean,   like a filling or something?

Someone should yell at Trevor to run hard out of the box.

[formerly33]

WHERE'S HALSEY HALL WHEN YOU NEED HIM?!?!

[USAFChief]

I've really done a great job of being over heads tonight

It's not like, at your age, you have much chance of being over tails tonight.

[Aggies7]

Man, some lady is cackling up a storm in the background

[USAFChief]

WHERE'S HALSEY HALL WHEN YOU NEED HIM?!?!

This made me laugh.

[Riverbrian]

Let's try this again

Gee... I wonder who Kansas City will throw tomorrow afternoon?

[Aggies7]

I had to look that name up. If you're asking for someone born in the 19th century to save us, God bless you.

[operation mindcrime]

Just trade Arcia to Milwaukee so he'll be with his brother!

[USAFChief]

Well, by Gum, even if I hit it with my arse, at least it wouldn't pop up in the god-forsaken air.  (Dead cat bounce factor).

Are you certain it would re-emerge?

[Platoon]

BP had some comments on teams playoff, or lack thereof chances, today. To paraphrase ........ Twins off to a horrible start, the kind of start that gets people fired, if they would be in a place where anyone gets fired....... We are nationally famous!

[USAFChief]

I had to look that name up. If you're asking for someone born in the 19th century to save us, God bless you.

Whooooooosssshhhhhhhhhh.

And Always... Clears a head with room to spare.

Halsey is a frequent poster on TD and well known Plouffe dis-liker.

[LaBombo]

He's at least got a walk tonight,   but is SuperRobbie Grossman already turning into Stan Grossman of 'Fargo' fame?

"We're not a bank,   Jerry.   We're also not really much of a baseball team."

Whooooooosssshhhhhhhhhh.

I'm not from around here, so your local native jargon and inside jokes fly over my noggin.

Well I dislike all our players. But now I am embarrassed.

OMG, Halsey was a legend. It would have been fun to hear his thoughts on this fiasco,

Keep hangin' around.  We're not a bad bunch.

If you knew Halsey's history, that would'a made you laugh too.

Man, some lady is cackling up a storm in the background

Sorry. I'll try to tone it down a bit.

[Aggies7]

I would like to hear anyone born in 1898 comment on anything that goes on today.

[Riverbrian]

OMG, Halsey was a legend. It would have been fun to hear his thoughts on this fiasco,

He's walking somewhere around Northern Minnesota just thinking of distractions so he doesn't have to watch the game.

Our Halsey... not the original.

[USAFChief]

Let's try this again.

"Technically, that'd be a HBP."

[twinssporto]

Since these games (and season) are so utterly bad, maybe we could start multi tasking on the game threads.  This would need Moderator approval but instead of just Twins talk we could mix in some home improvement advice, fishing clinics/advice, etc.

[Platoon]

Let's try this again

Gee... I wonder who Kansas City will throw tomorrow afternoon?

If you don't tell us, I won't get any sleep. This better be worth it!

[curt1965]

I'm going to make a crazy prediction: Twins will not lose tomorrow!

[USAFChief]

Man, some lady is cackling up a storm in the background

That's no lady, that's my wife.

ba-dum-tsch

Thanks, thanks very much.  I'll be here all week.  Try the chicken, and remember your wait staff.

[LaBombo]

Well I dislike all our players.

Twins fans:   Get to know 'em!
